Shakamak Lake IN.
Does anybody have any experience on Lake Shakamak? I plan on pre-fishing for our club classic this weekend and have never been there. Any input would be great.

Playoff Baseball
Can somebody tell me how its possibly fair for Dodger Fans to waive thousands of white towels in the air during a freaking baseball game. I swear thats why Holliday got hit in the balls with that flyball. I know this is just a lame excuse on my part, but I had to vent.

The Ultimate Fighter
Aaron your right, they have just fought twice. I still see his experience as a benefit in this season.

The Ultimate Fighter
Roy is a complete DB and I dont think Dana is a fan of his at all. His whopper comment was just stupid. Kimbo's ground game is serioulsly terrible right now, but if he can get anybody dumb enough to just stand with him he's gonna have a chance. Lastly, Wes Simms has not got much attention this season, but he's my pick to win. He has beat Frank Mir twice I believe.

Wierd Anglers
A guy my dad works with asked me to take his boy out on the water this summer because he was really starting to get into fishing. When I met him at the dock, he had a 8ft. casting surf rod, giant SW "spinning reel" with a beetle spin attatched. I gave him a spinning outfit to use before I could even see him try to cast that d**n thing

working out/ weight lifting
If you want to cut up a little, diet and cardio are the 2 biggest things. Depending on how many days you plan to work out, 30-45 minutes of cardio in a moderate or low intensity will shred fat better than 15 minutes of running. As far as lifting, I think the push and pull workouts are good, but make sure you change your routines up every few weeks or so to confuse the muscles and maximize your strength gains.

Coffee Scented Lures
i read somewhere a while back that some guys from strike king were out fishing and someone who was drinking coffee took a drink that had coffee grounds still in it. He spit it in the water and bluegills and baitfish came up instantly and started hitting the coffee grounds and thats how it originated.

RIP Brett Rogers
I dont know why, but I have a bad feeling about this fight for Fedor. I know he's incredible in every aspect of his game, but Rodgers is a big dude with serious K.O. power.

Fedor vs. Lesnar
UFC said they would let Fedor fight in the Sambo tourny's but the reason the deal fell through was because Fedors agent wanted something crazy like half ownership of the company. IMO Fedor would still be a stud in the UFC, but the longer it takes, the better the odds are for Lesnar, Velasquez, Carwin, ect. to beat him because he's not getting any younger. I also think this Brett Rodgers guy has a chance against Fedor. Look at his KO's, they are pretty good. And he is a big *** dude with a bad attitude.

Anybody familiar with Lake Norris TN.
Hey guys, I'm leaving for a family vacation this weekend for Norris Lake. Any input on how to catch them out their right now. I am bringing my bass boat and plan on looking for points to fish along the main channals, but what else can be helpful there. Thanks, Deadeye32

Bass Fishing as exercise?
not to get to technical here, but you are right. low level exercise at long time periods will burn fat. Thats why people who lose a ton of weight usually do it by walking or jogging for 60 minutes rather than running sprints for short time periods. I guess I'll just have to go fishing more instead of going to the gym with the wife. ;D

What's the Most Fish You've Caught on Consecutive Casts?
This year I had a tournament at Geist Reservoir in Indianapolis, I pulled up on a point and caught 13 bass off of this one point. 8 of them came on consecutive casts, but they were all 11-13 in. fish. It was so frustrating but very fun at the same time.

Brookville Lake Indiana - Tournament
I fished a top 8 tourny there last weekend and I believe that the majority of these fish have already spawned. All of the keeper largemouths that we caught were spawned out. Your tourny will be different than last week in that I was dealing with flooded chocolate water and now the water is back to normal and clear. The shad were starting to spawn like crazy in the back of the coves, so throwing a crank or spinnerbait in Hanna Creek or Wolf Creek might be a good idea. also, if the largemouth are not biting well, dont be afraid to target the smallies with shakey heads and tubes by the dam. There are some absolute hog smallies in there. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Rod building
flechero, your exactly right on that. I just put an order in for some building supplies this week and ordered a couple of the mudhole custom 7ft. Hvy. and 1 7ft. Med. blanks. I'm just going to go slow and try to do it right the first time and learn as I go. Thanks again, Kyle

Brookville Reservoir top 8
This weekend, we had our district top 8 at Brookville Reservoir and the conditions were not great. The lake was pretty much flooded on Day 1 and the water looked like nestle quick up north. (this lake is usually very clear for an Indiana reservoir). We decided to target largemouths in the flooded shallows and had only 1 keeper each for myself and for my non-boater. Well the fishing was tough overall with post-spawn conditions but we refused to give up until the last minute. With about 15 minutes left to fish, we pulled up to our last area and saw a picknick table completely submurged in the water. Guys had been running past and flipping that table all day with no luck. I flipped my Paca craw behind the table into the flooded area and BAM. 4 pounder with 10 minutes remaining. Threw her in the well and ended up day 1 in 3rd place and Big Bass. The next day was a different story because they pulled water and the areas we were targeting were not flooded any more. We decided to make a run and target smallmouths, but it was too late. We both blanked, but fortunatley, so did half the feild, so I finished 7th overall and am moving on to regionals. Great weekend on tough water. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j245/klimbach32/fish042.jpg
