I bought a series 5 and 6 last year when I fished lake Barkley and after one weekend of fishing both were missing an eye and I only caught a few short fish on them. I like the color pattern and all but I dont think its a magic color. It has a time and place. I do however like the red eye shads. They held up for me great last year and were very productive.

your pretty close to waveland and I know you can shore fish there. It is also loaded with bass. There is an overpass on your way to the boat ramp that I always see people fishing off of.

I have not used any quantums since the original energys so I cant help there. But I do know the Revo's are very good reels. I have a couple of each including the premire and it is a sweet and reliable reel.

I recieved one for Christmas but have not got to use it yet due to hardwater. I told my dad I would like a swimbait rod and suggested the Okuma, but he brought back a Carrot Stix Gold. Its amazing how light this thing feels for a near 8ft. rod. My only problem is I cant find the weight inserts for the but cap. As soon as I can throw it I will and let you know.

I love the HMG's I caught my personal best (11.8) in Florida a couple years ago on a7' med. spinning rod. I think they are just as sensitive as my loomis, just heavier.

I recieved some pretty bad ones over the years from the inlaws, but the worst had to be "The McDonalds Gift Card". I went to order a number 7 filet O fish value meal, and ended up owing $2 and some change. Thats right the gift card was for $3.

Being from Indianapolis, I love the colts, but until they stop playing to their opponents level week in and week out, I just dont see them as the best. That being said, Pittsburg is pretty dang good even though they are not that flashy. They also have the toughest schedule in the history of football.

I'm not trying to say he's not a great leader, cause he is. I just dont like all the antics he does. The Alabama game was a perfect example of acting like a nut and the announcers eating it up as to how a leader should act. Peyton Manning is a great leader and he doesnt act like that. Can you imagine Tebow on Sundays head butting Ray Lewis or Slapping Tank Johnson on the head, They would kill him and so would the offensive coordinator. JMO.

Harrell not being invited is outragous, and I'm sure if Tebow wins, he's gonna chest bump and punch the presenter in the face, because he's this great "leader" :. My vote is for Bradford.

If you can hold off until right before Christmas or after, some stores have great deals. My dad got a $400 knight two years ago for $99 at dicks sporting goods. Also, these muzzleloaders are far easier to clean and better than before. Brands such as CVA or Traditions actually are good guns for beginners. I also saw a neat looking Remington last year that was under $200 I'm not sure how they shoot, but it was light and easy to load.

My brother in law called over the weekend and informed me that the friends and family sale would be Sunday at dicks, and I could get 30 percent off of any fishing item in the store. Well I went to get a new Curado E7 and here is how the transaction worked out. Rang up normally at $149.99 (great deal already) Then they said it was $20 off of all reels $110-$149 (even better) then 30 percent off of that, so I got the reel for $103. ( I left the store with 3 of them cause thats all they had.) That made for a really great weekend and early Christmas Present

I think the green curado was made to be on a carrot stick. The green just completes the full color of a carrot. Honestly though, who gives a rats badonkadonk, they are great reels no matter what.

This is my first batch and the baby bass pattern ended up being my favorite. Thanks to everyone who posts here with tips and ideas. I would also go with a carrot stick, but I would go 6'9" parabolic action. Great crankbait rod in your price range.
