Flukes...i Thought This Was A Spring Time Bait?
Three things --- you're using the wrong color, you're fishing them where there are no fish, or you're working it wrong. Definitely rig it weightless too. Different colors? I can't buy a bite on some of the colors available. I use strictly watermelon seed, watermelon red, and KVD Caffiene shad KVD Magic and hammer em. If you've got shad in your lake, try the caffiene shad in KVD Magic. They are super realistic Working it wrong? I can't stress enough that (for me) the "pop pop pause" MUST be with slack line. If I pop it on a little tighter line, the bait kind of drags in the water and not much comes of it. Popping on the slack line gives it an erratic motion which is why it catches fish. I don't know what stage of spawn y'all are in or y'alls conditions, but I fish the tick out of them in and around grass and up and down banks. It's my go to shallow water bait.

Shakey Heads And Light Bullet Weights
1/8thoz shakeys are pretty solid all around. Light line for sure. Normally I fish a 1/4oz w/ 12lb fluro, but a 1/8th I'll go to 10lb on spinning gear. As for the 1/16th weights --- I use them for worm fishing in grass and shallow water. Fish em' on 12 lb test easily.

Need Help Picking A Jig Rod
You can find Shimano Cumara rep demos for sale every so often. Right now TW is selling some for $190. Light as a feather. Sensitivity is incredible! My favorite rods. Lifetime warranty. MH 7'2 fast/xfast tip should be just perfect for standard jigging that doesn't involve heavy mats.

Soft Plastic Help
Good organization just depends on what your goal is ---- be super neat/organized or just be decently organized. Personally, I take gallon ziplocks and put all flukes in one, swimbaits in another, creatures in another, trailers in another, the the proverbial huge bag of worms. It has worked perfect for me. I'm not a fan of the plano box idea because it's heavier and takes up more space.

Getting Started Using A Baitcaster
For 1/4oz, 17lb is FAR TOO heavy. At most I'd be using 12lb fluro (p-line makes a really solid copoly for like $9)... that should be just fine for ripping a crank through some crap too. Additionally - Do you cast one handed? If so, that's going to severely stifle you distance. Go watch some videos of KVD fishing and mimic his style.... two hands, doesn't use much arm (if any), he just flicks it really hard and I've had best success with that method. Finally -- Sadly, reel quality will effect distance. I've got a $200 Abu Garcia STX and it casts about half the distance of my $250 Quantum Tour MG. Both those cast better than my AG Silver max. All three cast better further than my buddies H20 Express from academy. Point is, reel quality will effect you. Cheers!

Falcon Rods
Have a 72 bucoo medium action. They are rated light. It's a good square bill rod I suppose,, but at the moment I'm not using it for anything.

Castaway Invicta?
Anyone fished one? I'm wondering how their rating is --- is a med/hvy pretty stiff or loose? Looking to snag one....

Fishing Line For Crankbaits
I've been using invisx for about a year and try not to use anything else. Oddly enough, if I MUST use anything else I go for p-line fluro.

Problems With Triton 186 With 150 Mercury
So, you get to WOT, then the throttle won't respond.... so you shut the engine off.... how do you get the throttle to go back down to idle speed after shut off? Personally (even with me being slightly confused with what your problem is) I would pull apart the throttle housing and see if there's something obvious going on on that end. Then I'd pull off the powerhead housing and poke around in there where the cable is. I know, pretty vague description, but it's late. Moral of the story: Just poke around and see if you can visibly see something obviously wrong.

Torn Between The Silvermax And The Promax
Stay away from all sub$100 Abu Garcias. I've had all three and had problems with each. Get another brand, for sure.

Quantum Tour Mg - $250 Magnesium Reel - Personal Review
I'm telling you.... paired with a Cumara, the setup is like butter. Can't wait to start flipping docks with it!

Quantum Tour Mg - $250 Magnesium Reel - Personal Review
I can agree with you guys on the price comparison. I just look at my Revo STX as pretty much my best reel. I've never really been willing to dive in the $200+ range because I've never used one with any significant advantage. The only reason I snagged this was because it literally feels like heaven in my hands.

Quantum Tour Mg - $250 Magnesium Reel - Personal Review
I'm going to make this as concise as possible and maybe help someone out. I heard about the launch of this affordable magnesium reel last year and have anticipated getting my hands on one ever since. NOW - I've never been a huge fan of quantum reels.... they never felt right in my hands and always felt kind of bulky and just crappy. I waited until my local tackle shop got in there shipment of Tour MG's so I could put my hands on it BEFORE buying. Well ----- I put my hands on it and INSTANTLY fell in love with it. SO light. SMOOTH movements. Super comfortable in my hands. I paired it with a Shimano Cumara and it is by far the LIGHTEST setup I have ever used (for the price). PROS: - LIGHT!!! - Smooth casting - Cast's literally a mile. I can rocket a weightless fluke out there! - Small profile so I can palm it really well - Smooth drag. - GREAT price for a magnesium reel. CONS: - Adjusting the brakes is a tad difficult. You have to remove the whole sideplate. - It has a "flippin' switch." I'm not a fan of these at all. I feel it's completely pointless. Does anyone actually use those things?! OVERALL: I love this reel. I like it more than a curado. I like it more than my AG STX. For $250, I believe I will be outfitting a few more of my setups with this reel. We will see how it holds up over time, but for now, I'm SUPER impressed. I don't know what it is, but this reel lets me ROCKET my baits out. I can get a weightless fluke out about twice the distance of my AG STX!!!! Like I said, I've never been a fan of the quantum reels, but this one has completely changed my mind. LOVE it!!! Running it with 12lb Seaguar invizx

Shakey Heads
Yep -- Picasso Tungsten Takedown. I just throw Picasso Shakedown's.... I don't know what they do to them, but they are the most sensitive non-tungsten weights/heads I've thrown. Love em'.

Check Out This Shaky Head
Concerning the roboworms - they usually screw on but there is zero margin for error and the worms will only be good for 1 fish.

Ever consider making some with smaller springs to accommodate roboworms?

Just splice some 16 gauge marine wire and run it to the fuse panel... at least that's what I do with everything, so incase problems arise, I can more easily diagnose the problem.
