Hard Bait Or Soft Plastic.
Skirted Jig & Trailer and Spinnerbaits are my go to baits. So I would fall under hard baits. I feel those 2 baits can be fished under many different circumstances. That being said I am starting to get into flipping and pitching so I am toeing the line.

Two Odd Bass Pitching Questions?
1. A role cast is better for skipping IMO. If you are lacking distance practice in the yard or living room hitting a target. Might need to adjust the brakes. If I am strictly pitching/flipping my brakes are off. 2. If you are starting that shallow you shouldn't need to strip of much line if any. Starting that shallow I would work the jig back to me keeping bottom contact. 3. The swimjig is fine but probably not the best jig style. Staying with Siebert i would suggest an Arki for skipping, Football for rocks, and Brush for weLloyd brush.

Lews Speed Spin
Didn't see this till now. I have mostly the 200. For the 200s I generally spool with 15# PowePro Super Slick on ML XF rods. Used for wacky, drop shot, shaky head and small crankbaits/spinnerbaits for crappies. I think the 100 would work great for this last application.

Seagar Red Label

Favorite Spinner Bait
1/4 oz from G&G Bait Company.

Seagar Red Label
I really liked it as leader material. It was good as main line with crankbaits and just ok as main line for jigs. I didn't treat it at all and got a good bit of memory.

I have a few baits that are in rotation from May through October. Spinnerbait and Jig with craw are always tied on. I will rotate between swimjig, squarebills, buzzbait and frog.

I generally cast to shallow cover so very little drop.

Leader For Flipping?
Before I have used 50# Power Pro with 15-20# Seaguar Red Label. I connect with an Alberto Knot. This year I tried straight Fluorocarbon with mixed results. Might go back to braid due to less line maintenance.
