  1. I fish rivers for smallmouth and have had good luck with a DT 6 in demon.
  2. Chum Daddy baits is a good local guy in Indiana.
  3. For me it's probably < $10 per month. As the kids get older my life is consumed with youth sports. Wouldn't change it for the world.
  4. I have been there a few times. Generally gets busy in the afternoons. Never got any real size out there either. Best bet is probably get a non motorized boat and get away from the bank.
  5. For clarification here are the specs for the Medium spinning rod that I mentioned above. Extra Fast, 6-12lb line, 3/16-5/8oz
  6. For all around soft plastics I would go with a Medium power rod in whatever length suits your needs. I personally like something around 6'6" out of the yak. With the medium you you are less likely to have a jig and plastic overpowering the rod. At the same time you can throw a "weightless" Texas rig as well. For wacky rigs I personally like a ML rod.
  7. He also has a jig pack that comes with his most popular colors
  8. I have a very similar setup with a 15# copolymer on it and really like it.
  9. Spinnerbait, spinnerbait, and spinnerbait. I like 1/4 to 1/2 generally white and any loud color you want. Also like black or purple with silver.
  10. 6'3" M spinning small jigs/grubs 7'0" ML wacky rig 6'6" M casting all purpose
  11. Premier League Lures, Siebert Outdoors, and G&G Spinnerbaits.
  12. I like single Colorado blades expecially and smaller presentations like a short arm. They seem to work really well especially in smaller creeks regardless of clarity.
  13. I have had times where a standard retrieve with jerkbait works well. Although, if targeting bass when this happens I'll normally switch to a square bill.
  14. My major block is that this is the first year I will almost be exclusively fishing a river. I find myself over thinking a lot.
  15. I use it for line watching applications and so the fish can find my lure!
  16. I have never used a trailer hook
  17. Grass Pigs
  18. When will this be out?
  19. G&G Spinnerbaits is a local guy from Indiana that makes great spinnerbaits. I like white&chartreuse for 75% of my spinnerbait fishing. Weight determined by depth.
  20. One of the most important aspects to smallmouth is location, location, location. Learn the local systems and find where the fish are. For lures jig&craw/tube, senkos, crankbait/jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, super spook Jr.
  21. I use St. Croix LES70MLF for anything from light tubes and wacky rigs to small crankbaits. Great Rod!
  22. X2 Also take a look at Premier League Lures they have a number of different offerings. Also G&G Spinnerbaits is a local guy in Indiana that makes to order. Has lots of differentshapes and sizes. For spinnerbaits I like white\chartreuse, coleslaw, purple\silver, and black
  23. I haven't trimmed anything on my brush jigs. The fish don't mind.
  24. 1/4 oz Chartreuse & White. Throw a trailer on for a little more bulk.
