  1. That's a good bit of stuff! Are you fishing out of a kayak?
  2. Siebert Outdoors makes a great Shakey Head. I like craw style plastics and triclick worms.
  3. I fish out of a kayak on the river mostly so a 6'6" M gets all the work for my squarebills up to DT 10s.
  4. Like others have said I see swim jigs as another tool of power fishing somewhere between spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and crankbaits. Once I go to a ball head the weights speed and present size get a lot smaller.
  5. Wacky senko to follow up top water. T rig plastic for everything else.
  6. LM was on a wacky rigged stick worm following up a buzzbait miss. SM was a spinnerbait running parallel to rip rap on the river.
  7. Thanks for the information. May have to bite the bullet and order one.
  8. Thanks for the information. What TFO rods do you have and what applications do you feel they excel at?
  9. I saw a post on Facebook by River 2 Sea about receiving some new rods from TFO. Does anyone know if TFO is reinvigorating their line of rods? And could pass on some information about them. A few years ago I was looking into buying some TFO rods but was never able to get my hands on them and went the rout of *** instead. Would like to try and give them a go again. Thanks! Paul
  10. I have no experience with A Rigs but matching your other presentations on one rod should not be a problem at all. I pitch/flip jigs and frog with the same 7'3" MH out of a Wilderness Ride 115.
  11. Looks like a great rod. The rod I throw wack rigs on is a 7'0" St. Croix Eyecon in ML. Hard to change up from something that works.
  12. I'll throw a couple general items into the mix. Spinnerbaits with white and/or chartreuse in 1/4 to 1/2 oz. Also, shallow to medium diving crankbaits with chartreuse and craw patterns.
  13. No issues with the rod you are using. I throw mine on a 6'7" M fast or a 7'0" MH fast depending on weight and target species.
  14. Alberto for a number of years. I have tried the Blood knot a couple of times but have not gotten it to hold.
  15. I use the standard Bite Me Jigs.
  16. X2 If you like it you can upgrade. I expect a few hundred on a fly rod before the year is out.
  17. This is my first fall truly chasing smallmouth. 3/8-1/2 oz spinnerbaits with 12-15# mono on a MH 13 with a Lews speed spool. 1/2 jig n craw with 50# braid on a MH 13 with a Lews speed spool. 1.5 squarebills/DT6 with 12# mono on a M Daiwa with a Lews speed spool. Wacky rigged stick bait and weightlesscraw with 15# braid on a M 13 spinning gear with a Daiwa Exceler 200.
  18. Jig, squarebills, and spinnerbaits!
  19. Spinnerbait, spinnerbait, and spinnerbait. You can go big and flashy, small and subtle or go with a hidden weight design that allows a heavier weight in a smaller package.
  20. Time spent fishing is always a good time.
