Favorite Smallmouth technique
Not to beat a dead horse but NDYakAngler has some great videos. I am just getting into smallmouth but for large mouth I like jig n craw and spinnerbaits.

Kayak rod length
I have a few rods over 7 but most are between 6'3" and 6'7" river fishing limits length. If I was on lakes or ocean might be different.

spinnerbaits
I fish spinnerbaits similar to squarebills. Around timber, rocks, docks, and weed edges. Also heavier spinnerbaits for deep ledges. I like the baits at Seibert Outdoors, Premier League Lures, and G&G bait company.

Siebert Jig Selection Chart
The different colors are amazing. Through different conversations I've settled on the brush and football jigs in the dredge series. Swim jigs and the finesse have also made their way into the box.

Jerkbait Size
I like the Rapala XRAP 10 but going smaller wouldn't hurt. I would say more importantly is that they suspended or drop slowly.

Ice Rods
Labeling is all that I know of. Biggest difference in they offer small diameters in the "ice braid"
-
Ice Rods
Size/types of baits will determine rods needed. Panfish on a UL, Walleye on a ML, and Pike on a M or MH. But all 3 can be caught on any rod.

Ice Rods
Fenwick rods are nice. I ice fish a lot and have switched to Tuned up Custom rods. 500/1000 series spinning reels are fine. What species are you going for?

Ice Fishing Anglers
For the panfish I would suggest live minnows.

Favorite Clearwater Smallie Spinnerbait.
1/4 oz chartreuse and white with nickel blades from G&G Spinnerbaits.

River Fishing
Chartreuse and white spinnerbaits, shallow crankbaits and poppers or buzzbaits.
-
Summer Pike
Generally I look for weed beds or rock piles around the 10' range near deeper water. Cast to shallow.
