  1. I'm surprised they let you out of the Sooner state.
  2. Women should not be allowed to drive.
  3. Great if you like to listen to things on your phone, horrible if you want to be able to actually hear the phone ring.
  4. The Kistler keeper is the best I've used.
  5. Did Daiwa use special bearings in the reel?
  6. Try the Strike King Pure Poison.
  7. That never happened. But if it did, you're welcome for the pink eye!
  8. I think Booten tried to molest Brody at least once.
  9. Ummm, on the left and right sides of the spool shaft? :-/ Remove palm sideplate. Remove spool. There should be a spool support bearing in the palm sideplate, held in place by an E-clip. There should be a spool support bearing on the crank side of the spool, held in place by a cross pin. For best performance, remove bearings, soak in alcohol overnight to remove old lubricant, dry completely with canned air, add one drop (from a needle oiler) to each bearing and replace.
  10. Don't mind that Revo. A Citica D usually resides on that rod, but I needed lighter line and that Revo doesn't handle >12 lb. test very well.
  11. Wow, lots of global warming there!
  12. Should have taken your sorry rear too. Booten ain't that far from you and he fished alone since Speedbead was too much of a [censored] to make the trip down this weekend.
  13. Yes. The Devil's combo. Shimano reel/Daiwa rod.
  14. I thought the Citica/LTX would be nice, but the Curado/LTX is just plain sick. The Curado 200E is like Jack Hartoonian's tux in Caddyshack 2.
  15. $2.999 -$3.399 along US 23/119 to Charleston, WV
  16. I can barely fish because of the impure thoughts.
  17. As I've said before, all other reels should just give up....
  18. Longer rod (7'6), lighter line (Pline CXX 8 lb.) and a Shimano Curado 200E5.
  19. TheBeast, myself, Jimzee, PitchinKid, and Booten converged on northern WV for debauchery, gluttony and perhaps a little fishing. Twas a late night as TB and I didn't get to Casa De Jimzee till 3:30AM. We settled in for a couple hours of snooze, but I just laid there, my brain in OD and my ankle throbbing thanks to teh gout. We rose early Sat. AM and headed for the lake. The scenery was wonderful. Unfortunately, the fishing wasn't all that good. Bluebird skies and all that. We did, however, manage to boat a few dinks. TheBeast got that one right at the ramp just after dark. A word to the wise, if you're going to sneak daddy's boat out, at least know how to put it on the trailer. And if you don't, please don't hit the ganga all day, then try to load said boat. Saturday night was capped off with a great Italian feast and Dominique. Sunday morning saw a late start and the same fishing. After doing some parking lot work on Booten's trailer, we managed to squeeze in a few hours of fishing before having to call it a day. FWIW, don't ever trust Jimzee to take photos when there are certain things in the background. There's a great story about those last two photos, but I can't tell it here. Twas a good weekend for everything but fishing. I ended up catching 6, I think Jimzee got 3 or 4. PitchinKid got into them pretty good on Saturday and TheBeast got his first musky on his second cast Sunday. But I'm not complaining. Great scenery, good people and good food. TheBeast and I stopped in Charleston on the way home and stuffed ourselves with Famous Dave's BBQ. Getting to be kind of a tradition after our trips. Thanks for the hospitality goes to Jimzee and his wife. What sane person would let people like us into your house for a weekend? Oh, and Booten, there's still a big difference between S WV and SW VA.
  20. Two cans of Red Bull Friday afternoon and one Saturday morning kept me going from 2PM Friday till 11:30PM Saturday.
  21. 16.6 oz. of Red Bull will cure what ails you.
  22. Beast and I heading to Jimzee's place tonight after the ball game to do a little fishing this weekend. I come home from work this morning, get my stuff packed, get in bed to catch a few winks. 8 hours later, I'm dog tired after tossing and turning all morning. I may have slept about 4 hours. Just couldn't get my brain to turn off. Helluva time to not sleep when I'll be driving 5 hours tonight. Guess it's time to shotgun a six pack of Red Bull.
  23. Why is that hand encased in a block of carbonite?
