  1. I used to think the same thing. That was before I filled up an 80 and a 120 in two years. Buy as large as possible. Tis better to have too much than not enough.
  2. Regardless of what you buy, buy something with at least 2GB of RAM. 3GB would be better, 4GB even better. Vista is a resource hog.
  3. Five tags on this end of the state. Eastern end of the state gets an extra tag. We can buy as many antlerless tags as we want each year. If I had the desire and the money (on my end of the state), I could kill a doe a day from the first Saturday in October until the first Saturday in November. Then the same from the first Monday in December until the first Saturday in January. On the eastern end of the state (varies by county), the limit is two deer per day. I could easily kill 10 deer a week on our lease.
  4. Reading these threads, one would think the largemouth bass was a threatened species. Fish were meant to be caught, fileted, coated in starch and fried in hot oil.
  5. Last week: 250 yds. 60 yds. 90 yds. 90 yds. 130 yds. 200 yds. Previous years: 140 yds. 80 yds. 120 yds. 20 yds. 140 yds. 100 yds. 90 yds. 130 yds. You can do the math...
  6. If you want easy recoil, don't buy the Remington Model 7 in 7mm-08. Other than that, it kills deer quite dead. Remington 120 gr. hollow point has dropped 14 deer for me over the last 8 seasons.
  7. Both are fine choices and you can't go wrong with either.
  8. What have you been smoking? :-?
  9. I would agree with that, hate the clammy feeling. I have no Under Armour left, the girl has taken it all. If I bought a Low Budget Hooker hoodie, I don't see her stealing that and wearing it. : > Keep your pimp hand strong!
  10. 9* last Saturday morning, the only part of me that got cold were my eyelids. UA may be $$$, but it works better than anything else on the market. Cotton is the enemy!
  11. He said value over hype. Under Armour does not fit that criteria. Plenty of value there. I didn't get cold at all this deer season.
  12. I don't drag them, I just back the truck up and toss them in the back. Longest drag this year was 100 yards. As I said above, unless it is a big deer, there is absolutely no reason to skin past the backstraps. The shoulders on small deer are more sinew than meat. And, as I said above, all but one of those deer was shot through the shoulders. That means there isn't any suitable meat there. Hey, if you want to take the time to get every scrap of meat off the deer, by all means do it. I've done it in the past. As it is now, I'll end up spending about 15 hours processing the deer I've killed this week. And finally, you want to lecture me about the deer, yet you don't even process your own? Pretty easy to sit up there in that glass house and toss stones. :
  13. Six in the eastern part of the state, five in the western part of the state. I tagged out this evening with another doe. First time I've filled all of my tags in 20 years of hunting.
  14. With the exception of one, all had been shot through the shoulder. Unless it's a big deer, I don't bother skinning past the backstraps. Not enough meat there to make it worth my while.
  15. That's a big necked doe.
  16. Quite a bit of it has to do with Kistler revamping their lineup for 2009.
  17. Check Tackle Warehouse if you're ready to buy now. They're on sale, plus if you're on the TW mailing list, you'll get 10% off today and tomorrow. That means a 50MG for around $165.
  18. Fattie sealed his fate with a loss to a pathetic Syracuse team.
  19. It is one hell of a sale. I ordered 30 of a certain item.
  20. Just one tag left... :'(
  21. Drive an hour south and kill some pigs.
