Buffs
Hey man, I looked and in the FAQ portion of their website it states it's a UPF of 30. The following is a upf chart developed by the American Association of Textile Chemist and Colorists and this is the standard by which all clothing is measured in terms of sun protection effectiveness. UPF Rating Protection Category % UV radiation Blocked UPF 15 - 24 Good 93.3 - 95.9 UPF 25 - 39 Very Good 96.0 - 97.4 UPF 40 - 50+ Excellent 97.5 - 99+ As you can see the Hoo Rag rates as a 30 which is very good and blocks 96 percent or more of radiation. Hope this helps!

Punching Rod - What Tip?
I'm currently using a Denali JC905FX. It's a perfect rod for flipping and punching with heavy weights and has an extra fast tip. Honestly I would say use nothing less than Fast or XF for punching.

Falcon Rods
Does anyone have any experience using Falcon Rods for topwater and jerkbaits? Specifically those in the 6'6" length and M or MH action with a fast tip?

St. Croix Premier For Jerkbaits
That explains that then, I must have missed the SCII vs SCIII blank difference. Thanks!

Topwaters And Water Clarity...
I can tell you that I throw Strike King Rage Toads and buzzbaits when the water is at it's muddiest and they are phenomenal. When the water is clearer or extremely clear that is when your Spro frogs, spooks, and pop-r's really come into play because the fish will rely more on site.

St. Croix Premier For Jerkbaits
I know a lot of guys on here use the Avid Series 6'6" MF model for jerkbaits, topwater poppers, and flukes but has anyone used the 6'6" MF Premier rod for the same purpose? I'm leaning towards this version simply because it would save me around $70. I'm not sure if these rods are built of the same blank or what makes one diff from another. Thanks!

Buffs
There are a lot of different brands of buffs out there but personally Hoo Rag is what I use: http://www.hoorag.com/ Not only do these provide great skin protection but you can get some really great styles and they are at a great price point as well. In addition you can design your own buff which come in bulk quantities if you have a fishing team or club and want to create some for everyone. Hope this helps someone!

St. Croix Triumph
Does anyone have any personal experience with the St. Croix Casting Triumph rods? They seem to have solid reviews online, but I wanted an opinion from someone on here.

Strike King Shadalicious Hook??
How fast are you retrieving the bait? Some swimbaits require a slower retrieve to truly work effectively. I find that slow rolling swimbaits is much more effective. I mostly use weighted 5/0 or 6/0 hooks for swimbaits of that size.

Basspro Shops Soft Plastics
I've never really used any of their plastics except the stik-o's and I can honestly say they are not very soft and they don't seem to have much action. It's possible based on the other comments that bass pro has since corrected this issue but I just wanted to give my honest opinion.

Vmc Vs Owner Hooks
I use primarily VMC hooks now with no problem. They are awesome for the price point

Spinning Rod Recommendation
Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new spinning rod. The rod needs to be between 100 and 140 and I plan on using it for drop shot, shakey head, and possibly wacky rigged worms. Let me know what your personal preferences are. I currently have a 7 foot mh veritas that isn't bad but I want something a little more sensitive.

Who Ya Got?!
As of this morning the fantasy fishing team I picked for the Bassmaster Classic consisted of: -Todd Faircloth -Greg Vinson -Randall Tharp -Patrick Bone -Coby Carden Who is on your team? Already Vinson and Patrick Bone don't look like strong choices based on the BASS Basstrakk for me!

Best Fishing Bibs For Price And Durability
Unfortunately the nearest Cabela's to me is 2 hours away. BPS is less than an hour. Anyone have any opinions on the BPS 100mph suits? Or any others?

Best Fishing Bibs For Price And Durability
Hey guys, I have to pick up a pair of insulated bibs in the next month before my tournament season starts. As of right now I'm looking into the BPS 100mph Pro Qualifier bibs for around 190 bucks. Are there any other brands that you guys prefer for not only cost but durability and use? Thanks!

Help With Cranking Hooks
Does anyone have some sort of guide or cranking "bible" they use when changing out hooks? Generally I know most change to number 2 hooks with a majority of squarebills and lipless cranks, but what about the deeper diving cranks such as mid range and deeper? I haven't changed out many of my hooks other than some squarebills and lipless so I need some guidance here. Thanks!

Lipless Crankbaits - Why Is Red So Popular ?
Red works well because it imitates craws, plain and simple

Is Something Wrong With Me
Spinnerbait = my go to bait. Now with that being said a lot of fish across the country have become conditioned to them because they have seen them so much. With this being the case you have to try different cadences with your retrieves, try running them at different depths, try changing the blades, change the trailers, trim the skirt. Another thing that may be happening is the fish are following but not committing, or they are short striking and stopping their attack right behind the bait. To avoid short strikes add a trailer hook. Hope this helps.

Jig Rod?
personally I would use the 7'3 heavy for 0-20 and 7'6 heavy for anything deeper

Bc For Crankin Stick
Who has a BPS Crankin Stick who can recommend a baitcaster that balances well with the rod?

Dropshot: Braid With Leader Or Straight Fluoro?
I'm a big fan of straight fluoro and feel I get the same sensitivity with it as I do with a braid. What's everyone else's opinion on this subject matter? I've heard tons of varying opinions but nothing has swayed my belief for this technique yet.
