Nice fish! Using fly rod on bass is a blast!BOOM! Congrats!Took a day off and headed to the lake. Caught 11 total. One n a War Eagle spinner bait and the rest on a 3/8oz. Z-Man chatterbait. They were crushing the chatterbait all day. Used a pumpkin w/ green flake Chigger Craw as a trailer.

+1 for the Rooster tails. 1/4oz in white or black has always worked well for me in the rivers. I throw them on a 7' medium action rod with 8 or 10lb. line. The areas that I fish have quite a bot of cover so I use a little heavier setup. A ML action rod would work well in areas where there's not so much cover. I'd still stick with no less than 8lb. line.Casting - Lews Spinning - ShimanoI live in Michigan and Black/Blue produces better than junebug for me.I have MOTV as well. Charter dropped WFN some time ago. I really like MOTV.I fish frogs a lot. The Pad Crasher is by far my favorite. I also like the KVD Sexy Frog. I'm not real impressed with the Spro frogs I have several of them but, the Pad Crasher and KVD frogs fish much better IMHO. I also have a few of the Lunkerhunt Lunker Frogs, I like how they fish but, I don't seem to catch as many on them as I do the Pad Crasher.Now that’s a great day!I fish the rage craw a lot. I'll use it as a jig trailer, swim jig trailer and texas rigged. I catch a lot of fish with it. For some reason I don't do nearly as well with the Rage bug. I'll fish the bug as a jig trailer and texas rigged mainly. Oddly enough I do quite well with the Missle Baits D Bomb, fishing it in the same manner as the Rage bug.You bet it does! Don't you have your Color-C-Lector with you??Looks like over kill to me.
