Swim jig enthusiasts
I primarily throw the Greenfish Tackle Swim Jig or the Hack Attack Heavy Cover swim jig. I mostly fish shallow water so 1/4oz. and 3/8oz. are all I throw. I keep the colors pretty basic, Green pumpkin, Black Blue, White and Blue Gill. Trailers are mainly a Rage Menage or a Rage Craw, sometimes a Zoom Fat Albert curly tail grub. I fish them on a 7' MH Carbonlite 2.0 rod with a Shimano SLX DC 6.3:1 or a Carbonlite 2.0 6.8:1 reel with either 30lb. braid of 15lb. floro.

FLW Pro Circuit event on Lake Erie
Wow! Lucas holds on to best Wheeler by 1oz.! Both of these guys are on fire!

Tom Monsoor...
Chalk one up for the old guys! ? I watched the day 5 and then had to go back and watch the day 4 coverage. Pretty good stuff! I love how he put things together using those three different jigs.

FLW Pro Circuit event on Lake Erie
Until Sturgeon Bay, I didn't realize that Lucas was such a good smallie fisherman!

Does TW still take a while to get order?
My last order from TW was placed on 8/2, shipped on 8/4, and received on 8/11. Shipped via their standard free shipping option. Given the current environment, not bad IMHO.

Your Top Three For Light Line
Back in the day, 8# line on a medium action spinning rod. My primary lures would be 1/8 or 1/4oz. ball head jig with a 3" grub (Mr. Twister or Kalins) or a Sassy Shad, Blakemore Roadrunner, #3 Mepp's spinner or a 1/4oz. Rooster Tail. Oh and a Beetle Spin anywhere from 1/6 to 1/4oz. Panfish love those 1/6oz. Now, medium action spinning rod, 2500 sized reel w 15 or 20 pound braid to a 8# flouro leader. I still throw those ballhead jigs with grubs especially in rivers. I like a 4" grub now. NED rig, and drop shot. On the drop shot I like a robo worm or a 4" senko typically.

Shelves are bare
Me too! I'm having a hard time finding 1/8oz. bullet weights though. BPS, Cabela's, TW and Discount Tackle are all out online. So far, everything else that I've needed I have been able to find online without much delay at all. Of course, I do have a pretty good back stock of most things!

Buzzbait
To answer a question from above, what surprised me is that flouro is generally thought to sink thus potentially inhibiting the action of the buzzbait. I've always thrown mine on a good quality mono or sometimes braid. As mentioned above, flouro seems a bit spendy for that application IMHO tpp. I don't remember ever throwing it on co-poly so I'll have to give that a try.

Frog on a swim jig?
Never tried it on a swim jig but, I have put a Zoom Horny Toad on as a chatterbait trailer with good success.

Buzzbait
Interesting take on fishing a buzzbait. What surprised me most is he uses flouro!

Anyone have issues with Tackle Direct?
Shipping is pretty much the same everywhere, especially with USPS.

SMB: Best Price/Performance rod & reel combo...1 for Spinning and 1 for Baitcasting
I have to echo what @Jmoney402 said. The St. Croix Mojo Bass rods and the Bass Pro Carbonlite 2.0 rods are excellent. I have 2 of the Mojo Bass and 4 of the Carbonlite rods and love them. I think they're both an excellent value and very well built. Bass Pro often runs the Carbonlites on sale for $99 too.

MLF-Sturgeon Bay
That was a great tournament to watch. Sturgeon Bay really showed out.

whopper plopper
I’ve seen the same thing with the 90s. It’s a bit annoying so I’ve started throwing the Choppo 90 when I want to use that size. I still throw the whopper plopped in the other sizes. That being said, You didn’t mention what line you were using. You should use mono or braid when throwing any top water bait. Floro is denser than mono and sinks which impedes the action of top water lures.

favorite summer time spinnerbait
I generally like the Booyah (standard) or War Eagle. This year I bought several of the Jason Christie Booyah spinnerbaits and love them. They've become my new favorite.

SLX DC Problems Galore
Plus 8lb. braid on a casting reel is no beuno!

Wheeler
Wheeler has it going on! Great bit of strategy in removing that wrap.

Where should my buddies and I go for a week?
My vote would be St. Clair, Thousand Islands, or Lake Champlain.
