We’ve had very similar weather here in SE Michigan. My best baits so far have been chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. I’ve also caught a few on Texas rigged creature baits.

What size heat shrink tubing are you using?Looking at the top baits from the Sabine River tourney Taku had an interesting one rigged up. Ito created a heavy-duty Neko rig, using a Nories Sankaku T-San, rigged on a 2/0 Ryugi Infini Hook, with a 3/16oz. weight.

I don’t have anything to add except, I need order some brown lizards! ?Got on the fish pretty good today! 18 bass and 1 pike for the day. Biggest 4 were between 3.30 and 3.80lbs. Not a bad day for mid April. Water is still below 50 degrees but, we're already seeing the bass move up. It’s interesting because it looks like there are some fish that came into the shallows early. The key that I saw today is a lot of bait fish in the area that I was fishing. I caught my first fish on the much talked about fire raw color. That bite seems to peter out after the first 5 or 6 fish so I switched to the bluegill color with a watermelon red flake rage craw and the bite was back on! #ZMan #Jackhammer #Chatterbait #FireCraw #Bluegill #RageCraw Could only add a few photos
Hopefully the pike and musky keep them in check up this way.I’ve never seen a shad this large. Snagged him while throwing a chatterbait. LOL

Day 3 Day 4Love me some Rage baits!Prayers for the Houston family!I can’t comment on the Curado but, I do own 2 of the SLX DCs and really like them! I’m sold on the DC technology.I own one 6’-6” rod. I mainly use it for throwing spinnerbaits and chatterbaits where a really accurate short cast is needed.I own 6 Carbonlite 2.0 rods. For chatterbaits I use a 7’ MHF rod.
