  1. When I was 10 years old that's what I always used. I didn't know how to use anything else lol a white rooster tail in the creeks would always produce huge numbers in a day. It's been a couple years since I've thrown one, but I always wonder if I took one to the lake, if I could catch them as good as I did in the creeks when I was younger!!
  2. A tube, Texas rigged!
  3. My Alphas SV arrived in the states today, but I missed the post man. I'll get some pictures up probably Monday!! Other than that I bought some Costas Tuna Alley sunglasses, Bass Pro qualifier rain suit, a cpl more wiggle warts, tubes, bandits, and some Owner hooks! I need to sell a bunch of stuff lol
  4. No one has EVER turned me down when I offer work. I have always dressed clean and spoke well, and it's never failed. Sometimes I've had to work for that pond, and others they just want you to catch some turtles or something silly. Never go knock on their doors with all of your gear with you lol Go beforehand and you can always come back to fish. You do that and you shouldn't have a problem unless they are just jerks.
  5. There is nothing better and cheaper than a plain old backpack with a couple Plano boxes stuffed inside. I know I hate the shoulder strap bags. After awhile they kill your shoulder and you have to put them down to cast.
  6. its been entertaining to follow this subject on other sites, but I would take my chances. If anything Daiwa would just send you a new one.
  7. At one point in time I drooled over a DX paired with some high end Daiwa or Shimano. I've got that and more, so I guess yes I do own my "dream" combo lol
  8. I seen that on FB a couple of days ago, I think. That thing is crazy. Anyone know who made it?
  9. Call them and tell them that. They will make it right, I promise!
  10. You mean, women actually do that? Huh, that's news to me!! Haha
  11. I called them they said they would charge me $50 to replace. It broke so close to the tip, I may just put a guide on the top and use it as a spare for the kids.
  12. That is good to know. They were great the first time I broke a rod. Got a new one sent right away. I just wasn't sure they would look at this and not blame me for carelessness or something. Thaks
  13. Hey guys I have a quick question. Tonight I broke a Veracity spinning rod that was won in a contest. I still have no idea how it broke. I was running the vacuum and was creeping up to the rods to be careful I didn't hit them, and all of a sudden I heard a snap. Took the rod sleeve off and the rod tip was broke in 2 places. It's literally the craziest **** I've seen, because I barely touched it with the vauum. When I did bump it, it just slightly leaned over on the other rods like they always do. Anyways just wondering if they will replace it due to having no receipt, and also because of the way it broke. I've had them replace a rod before, but I was actually fishing with that one and it broke in one spot. Thanks in advance!
  14. I got the 705cbmf a month or so ago and I love it. I understand their a bit different, but I'm sure you will enjoy it nonetheless. I've really been impressed with the 3 Dobyns I have now!
  15. I recently broke mine too on a old ProMax. I don't think that pin was meant to come out lol my pliers were free though
  16. Haha if it does it sure doesn't help my success!!
  17. I see, well the holes will work. Just make them small, because one of the minor flaws in the hydro flo boxes, is that some hooks make their way through the holes. It only happens once in a blue moon, but it can happen. It seems to be my drop shot hooks. I always add the packets from beef jerky in my boxes too. Not sure if it helps or not, but like I said, I very rarely have rust in my boxes.
  18. The only decent pick i had was Rojas. By far the worst tournament ive had.
  19. ^probably off of FB for 25 bones lol I don't understand why people are buying them for that much when TW will have them in a couple of weeks. Here lately I have been seeing ridiculous prices on baits still available, but maybe not in stock. Makes no sense to me.
  20. Plano Hydro-flow is what you want. I've had mine for a couple years and, and I have very little to no rust. like the others I always bring my boxes inside after each trip, turn the fan on, and let them dry for awhile.
  21. Lol I have been looking for vehicles the past couple of weeks. One of the requirements is something all of my rods and gear will fit in. Not one person understands this requirement, and I have been getting hell for even putting that at the top of my list.
  22. Yeah the only success I have ever had with a swimbait was reeling it slow...just not this slow lol Im definitely going to test it out here soon. The water is chocolate milk everywhere right now.
  23. Definitely absurd, but I've been there lol So I am no swimbait expert or anything, but I took the hudd gill to the neighborhood pond just to see how it swims. To my surprise, the thing was hard to keep upright on a steady retrieve. I was using a 6:4, and I had to reel extremely slow for it to swim upright ( even then it still fell over a lot). Did I have the wrong impression that it was supposed to swim upright? Lol Or was it designed to be something else?
