  1. My local sports bars are bulking on the $2500 to $3500 charges that the cable/sat companies want to let them show it. Can`t say I blame them. C22
  2. Nice catch,I would love some pullage from either of those species right now. C22
  3. Sweet ride, enjoy. Maybe see you at Daytona next year.
  4. The check is in the mail
  5. Can anyone believe the money involved in this "fight of the century", between Mayweather vs. Pacquiaohttp://money.cnn.com/2015/05/01/news/mayweather-pacquiao-taxes/index.html?iid=HP_LN I think I`ll wait til the morning news to see the results. C22
  6. Epic success ==living to be 71 yrs old. [Dangerous jobs and riding Harleys most of my life] Married 49 yrs ,never divorced, but I have seen some friends that fall into the success side of life by ridding themselves of the other one, usually losing about 75% of common assets.
  7. You call that guy friend?? I would call him a practical joker I would avoid snipe hunting or cow tipping with him
  8. Skunked is always looming,But I doubt that trouble if you have decent wx.Don`t try to be inventive with your own ideas. Do what the mate/capt tell ya because e they want you to catch fish. The comment about spinning vs level winds is a bit different. Usually it the other way round. Best of luck and don`t get sick. C22
  9. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the moonshiners at Daytona Bike Week this year. Really nice guy and very obliging to all that wanted pix with him.I`ll see if I can find mine. C22
  10. I only remember the first big bass I landed. I had a broomstick fiberglass rod with no reel, just line tied to the tip. I had a range of about 20' to 25' throwing by hand. I tossed a night crawler into some pads and away it went.I just took off running and dragged the bass up the bank at least 20' up the bank.I proudly took it to the local grocery store to weigh in at about 5 lbs. I remember it like it was====well when I was a 10 yr old kid. C22
  11. Thanks.Although they are present in that area, you are most likely correct according to this article. CM`s do not tend to climb. The ones I saw were probably brown water snakes. Either way,not welcome in my boat. http://www.livingalongsidewildlife.com/2011/01/cottonmouth-myths-i-snakes-dropping.html C22
  12. WTuna, good for a few shows ,but like all those reality shows,I`m bothered by the urgency to get something done,or they`re going to go broke ,or die ,or starve to death. The new one last night, river men or some thing like that ,implied that if the guy didn`t catch 200 pounds + of catties on that very day,he would not survive the winter=============give us a break! The shows set a poor mentality mind set for a society that is already over speeding. C22
  13. Nice catch and dinner too.Stripers that size are delish. Hope to get `em here in the salt soon. C22
  14. Man,I could use a warm beer. Don`t hook any fish ,everyone is watching
  15. Old is when you write notes for needed things, then forget to read them. Old is when you ask your own kids to wear name tags. C22
  16. A first for birds for me too.Few yrs back,I opened the grill hood to see a massive amount of nest material. They went in thru the rotisserie hole. They keep messin with me,theyr`e get some heat alright. Next project is moles and ants in the yard, not to mention the huge grass kill off this winter. I love my home ,I love my home ,I lo
  17. Use one of these. http://www.amazon.com/iBobber-Castable-Bluetooth-Smart-Fishfinder/dp/B00LEA2FS0
  18. Welcome, you can not find a better site for information.
  19. Nice catch on the bowfin. I have landed a few of them over the years and as I recall they can put forth a formidable battle. Like pickerel, not the prime target, but they do take the kinks out of the line. C22
  20. The piercing vs cutting statement makes lots of sense. Blade baits are my plague of bass throwing hooks. And when you get down to it,what does it matter if you lose a few fish, its usually c & r . C22
  21. Long ago we took a trip to the Albemarle Sound,Chowan River,NC area.I have never seen so many snakes before or since then. The trees were full of snakes, presumably cotton mouths.I counted 26 in one tree that were way up off the water. As we fished along the trees it would rain snakes as we got near.Everyone carried a 22 cal pistol in the t box. Never went back there, even though we caught some of the hardest fighting lmb ever. C22

  23. My motto==nice for people=not nice for catching. Fantastic day. It heals the winter hurt. I like that. C22
  24. His book is not all he is pushing. His day has come for "Willie weed" http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/willie-nelson-why-you-should-buy-my-weed-20150420 Just heard that Zac Brown will release a new album soon==can`t wait http://www.amazon.com/JEKYLL-HYDE-Zac-Brown-Band/dp/B00UB4WTMC?tag=gm-search-20 C22
