  1. I fish Big Bite Baits 3.5" Suicide Shad swimbaits on a 1/8-3/16oz heads with a Med/fast Diawa and its a blast. Had a older model black Carbonlite med/fast and it was a very versatile rod as long as you don't push the weights I think you'll like it
  2. Catch a bass over 13#. Fish Argentina ?
  3. Same here, I been using this rod for frogs and jigs in cover. Much better than a Fury
  4. Fishing a small lake this warden pulls down to shore and starts yelling and waving at us. We go over and he ask for me by name. He said I ran your plate in parking lot on truck and your license expired a couple of days ago?. He said I want your drivers license and you can get it back at office after you get your fishing license renewed instead of a ticket. I told him how about I get on my phone right now and renew online, he allowed it and we finished the day out.
  5. Family, dog or best friend in no particular order?. Everyone else it just turns into a hassle and not worth it for me.
  6. Same for me except a very light beige back with translucent sides and belly. I use mostly when fishing clear lakes and it gets crushed. I use bone or chrome spook/sexy dawg mainly in water with less than 4ft visibility
  7. Sunline Sniper has been good for me. Started with red label and hated the line memory, then tried InvizX and loved the way it cast but after several break offs in timber I switched to Sniper and never looked back. Power Pro original is good, I'm trying their Slick V2 on a few reels this season but not sure on it yet
  8. If your looking for one to put on a rod used primarily for texas rig/jig I can highly recommend the Curado 70. They palm very well. Wouldn't use the 70 with moving baits though.
  9. Alone is much better for my catch ratio, don't have to worry about someone else during boat position. I do enjoy taking my best friend or wife when they can go but don't care for anyone else
  10. I've gotten some amazing deals on year end clearance items over the past few years from them.
  11. I fish several Curados on Diawa rods ?
  12. Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG is my most used hook for soft plastics
  13. I have several medium and medium/light rods I use for smallmouth. My ML's are for dropshot and ned rigs and I use my M's for tubes, texas rigged soft plastics, small swimbaits and weightless worms. If I had to choose only one do all it would be a medium/fast and especially for tubes
  14. Peter Kutzer with Orvis has several good videos. Lessons are a great idea. Lots of areas have local clubs that have members more than willing to help new people out. I'd recommend getting with someone that can suggest an outfit that's suitable for a beginner instead of buying something cheap off shelf first. When I first moved to Montana I bought a book from Orvis, 9ft 6wt Clearwater Orvis mid-flex rod(trout fishing), quality WF floating line and hit the local park, most important thing I did was watch my backcast when learning and realize its all about timing and not power. Best of luck its a lot of fun
  15. 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG
  16. texas rigged zoom trickworm 1/4 .oz bullet weight 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook Has caught many fish over the years
  17. That's unfortunate. I was able to use last month's sale code on one and assumed it would work for this one Sorry
  18. No, I could feel the gears really working with the cranks and didn't like it. Love the size and way they palm on my bottom contact rods though
  19. I've got two Curado 70's I use on jig/texas rig setups and really like them. Tried one on a small/medium cranking setup and hated the feel.
  20. I've got two Pflueger Supreme 30X I really like (31.8 in/turn) Overton.com has them, you can use code WATERFUN30 for 30% off.
  21. Check out Panther Martin also if your thinking inline spinner. They are much better quality than Rooster Tails
