Lets Talk Shakey Heads!
I've only tried a couple brands but the Spot Removers work very well for me. I did notice that the hook on the regular Spot Removers will flex and bend a little under heavy loads so I have purchased the Pro Model to try out.

Ardent Tournament Weight Balls??
I use them and they are nice but i still cary a balance beam. I don't trust my digital scale enough and it's hard to get an innacurate reading with a balance beam. To me the balance beam is a necessity when ounces add up to dollars.

Pitching / Flipping What Type Hook?
I experienced the same thing with the Gamakatsu and switched to the Trokar Flipping hook. While they are expensive and the only Trokar hooks that I will buy again, they are perfect hooks for punching and flipping.

Gut Hooked Fish
I'm not saying that leaving a hook in the fish is the best solution but in my experience it is an option. I caught a healthy 3 lber last yr that had a catfish hook hanging halfway out of its vent hole. I removed the hook and released the healthy fish to fight another day. On the next cast I caught a 7lber. Karma at it's best right there.

Securing Rods Against Theft?
It's probably a good thing you didn't find them. After just about everything i owned was stolen from me I moved out of town and bought a house in the country. My little tin boat doesn't have a rod locker so when we travel i have the rods inside the tow vehicle. It's cumbersome but more secure than just laying on the deck of the boat. I like your idea of using a large pvc pipe and drilling through the ends and the caps to attach a lock of sorts. Then you would just have to secure it to the bed of your truck somehow otherwise they could just grab the pipe out of the back of your truck. How many rods do you travel with? It would have to be a very large pipe to hold all my rods with the reels installed and while taking the reels off is an option it is time consuming to get everything ready when you do arrive at your destination.

St. Croix Ltb Vs G.loomis Imx Vs Falcon Cara T7
The Loomis MBR843 IMX C is my favorite all around rod. It's my go to rod for T-rigs, bottom bouncing jigs, and swim jigs. I swing on a lot more fish than my co anglers and contribute that to the sensitivity of this rod. I don't own a St Croix or Falcon so I can't compare it to them.

How Do You Catch A Bass That Follows Your Boat?
Wonder if she follows the boat in order to eat whatever fish you throw back? She may attack a smaller fish that you already have hooked but haven't brought into the boat yet.

Mike Shaw's Ms Mini Slammer
What type and size hook do you replace it with? For the money I had hoped that the stock hook would suffice. I haven't taken mine out of the package yet.

What You Don't Like About Fishing
1. I hate it when my thumb bleeds from lipping "too many" bass. 2. I hate it when my ribs are bruised from setting the hook on "too many" bass. On a serious note. 3. I hate the fact that many people feel that its ok to throw their used plastics and fishing line into the lake. You brought it to the lake you take it home. 4. I truly hate the aches and pains that my body goes through after fishing hard for an extended period of time. It actually will limit the amount of pre-fishing I can do as I don't want to be wore out/sore during the tournament.

Asking For A Response From Every Member
1. Bigger fish seem to spawn first. They will be easy targets during their pre spawn rituals, which is earlier than a lot of people realize. Be on the water during this time. 2. Make multiple casts from different angles to your target. 3. Fish during the night for big bass in the heat of the summer.

Good Day Today
Fill an empty 1 gallon milk jug up with water and weigh it. It should weigh 8lbs. I do this often after not believing my digital scale but have yet to find where it wasn't accurate...

A Little Worried About My Lake!
I have caught the same fish on two different ocassions that looked very similiar to the one you have pictured. I caught her in 2012 during a night tournament and she weighed 2.98lbs. I caught the same fish again in 2013 during a club tournament on the same lake in the same cove and she weighed 3.23lbs. There was no mistaking this fish for another as the body and mouth were both deformed in a very distinctive way. During the night tourney she was caught on top water and during the club tourney she was caught on soft plastics. Comparing its length to other bass that I have caught out of the same lake it should have weighed 4.5-5lbs. My fist fit in her mouth. Needless to say, I'm glad she lived through the day/night in the livewell as well as the weigh in and look forward to catching the same fish again.

Is A Dinghy A Good Way To Go
Bad weather can hit fast. If you decide to take a small boat out on big water stay close to the ramp. Nothing worse than water coming over the sides of the boat and trying to make it to the ramp before everybody else on the lake with a 250 horsepower outboard. Keep something in the boat to bail water and of course life jackets.

Manitoulan Island, Ontario Smallmouth Help
I have been told by many locals this week that the Natives have netted Bass Lake so much that the only thing left in there are small perch. When I fished it I graphed many schools of fish and would drop down to them but only catch 3-5 inch perch. The perch were so small yet persistent that they would follow baits all the way to the boat. (Up to 50 perch would follow the bait to the boat.) Yesterday I found out about another lake nearby that the Natives haven't ravaged yet. Thanks for your help.
