  1. Personally, I believe that the Crucial is a good step up from the Veritas. The 7'2" will probably need a heavier reel to balance well, but it should work nicely for your intended purposes. It's also possible to throw 5" Senkos on the MH Crucial and put the lighter tubes/jigs on the M. Do what feels best.
  2. I'd add a 6'8" MH Crucial for the Tubes and Jigs, depending on the weights. I assume you're talking about the older black Crucials; the MH's in that line aren't terribly stout. If your tubes and jigs are on the heavier side, a MH Veritas, which is a more powerful rod, would be a good idea.
  3. Not quite. Last I heard they were considering it but no plans for anytime soon.
  4. X2. That clicking drag upgrade is quite the boat-floater. Tatula handle assemblies are a great place to start. I have a PX Type R handle on my Sol and while nice, it is short in length and very pricey.
  5. The only issue with Dirty Jigs is the price. Siebert is like a buck and a half less.
  6. Sounds great! I eagerly await technical details.
  7. I'm going to buy a 7" Slammer on Labor Day. Maybe that.
  8. I don't know if you want to spend $100, but Dick's in the area has Curado G's for $99.97. It's good to have options.
  9. If you can afford $100 rods, buy *** Omens. You said you wanted to stay under $100; they're available during sales for $85. If you can swing it, they're very good rods for the money. To directly answer your question, I have a Skeet Reese glass crankbait rod from that line. It works and catches fish.
  10. Poppers no, spooks yes. Braid is awesome for walking baits.
  11. X2. Even stock, I have one brake on and the tension loose. I don't want to ruffle any feathers, but for me there is no scenario in which that Revo comes close to the CH200E.
  12. How do they work in grass? My lakes are very weedy.
  13. Sounds like a nice setup for frogging. Those pads on Kent are looking gooood.
  14. Yep. Hello, David Price.
  15. That's great! If you're near Indianapolis during your trip, the Greenwood mall has this teriyaki place in the food court that is ridiculously good.
  16. I've been looking at one of those for a while now. If you end up purchasing the reel, please let me know how you like it.
  17. Stop in at Sportmen's Direct, just off the spillway. They'll point you in the right direction. It's a super nice store as well; they have Sunline!
  18. Around $150, I'd be looking at the new Fenwick ET Bass, new Shimano Crucial, and Daiwa Tatula.
  19. The *** is the winner in that group. For reels I would consider adding the Curado I to your search.
  20. Have no fear. I kill 'em in murky water with Shad Raps during the Fall.
  21. Caffeine Shad. No more boiling fluke tails for me!
  22. It would probably handle squarebills too.
  23. If you really want to spend $300 on an all-around rod, look at the Orochi XX 7'5" EMTF.
  24. Yeah, certain fluoro is very stretchy (hello, Invizx). However I really have nothing but good things to say about Red Label 10 lb. as far as handling and being low-stretch goes. Which Sunline are you using?
