Today I talked to a crappie fisherman on a local small lake who told me last year he caught an 11 inch golden shiner in the lake. I had no idea they were in WV let alone that lake or grew to that size outside fl. Ive never seen one and I feel like I would/should have considering how often ive fished there. My question is, do most eastern small public lakes have golden shiners and is there a way to tell/spot/find them?

I scored like 750...and rose 3% Haha ill take it. Roughest fantasy week ive seen in 4 years

1. Andy montgomery- top 5 in standings I believe and is on a roll. This lake has a lot of docks he can pick apart for quality bites. 2. Bill Lowen- this lake has been won a few times on spinnerbaits in shallow water. Right up lowens alley. 3. Randall Tharp- in a lake with so many unknowns, gotta go with something solid 4. Cliff Crochet- shallow water in south and is usually a bracket or 2 above F. 5. Chris Zaldain- very versatile and knows how to fish heavy cover or finesse for a limit. Should be bucket B or A most years.

Mid cast would seem to indicate that your spool is spinning faster than your lure is pulling out line. Use heavier lure/tighten spool tension knob/try not to whip your cast as it will create excessive spool rpm.

Get the biggest that won't tip your yak!

Looks like a bridge to me. Never seen a road that drops sharply on both sides typically. First pic seems to show a depression near object

When you come off plane and the wave is coming just accelerate a little bit. Youll catch the wave and surge forward but wont get wet.

1/4oz thinner wire Soft plastic choice will effect weight and depth covered. 1/2oz with trailer will weigh 3/4oz if not more. If i need to fish that deep a swim jig isnt my first choice!

The fc tag end always catches for me...no matter how close i try to cut it. Spinning gear is no issue though.

Bass cant grow 600% in a couple months... Those are from last year

I dont even hassle with it I craigslist and sell local. Higher profit margins too

He was alternating rods. Duo has a brand new 110 in a natural white with chartreuse stripe...looked similar but not sure if lucky craft has similar color.

Did anyone catch what brand jerkbait John Murray was using on Toledo? The color looked like the brand new duo realis color but I didnt get a good look at shape of it.

Bait size is opposite for trophy LM and SM Will SM hit a hudd...yes. Will you hook them...no. Your odds of catching a world class SM are much higher throwing a 1/16th hair jig than a 1.5 ounce swimbait

I dont trim my guards...i use to cut them at an angle but I feel like it doesnt make a difference. Best thing I do is spread the guard. It softens it and protects the sides of the hook when rolling over a limb.

I jumped up 12% Should get all my guys in the cut...which is good if I were trying to win the season....but Im so far out my best odds are to try to win a single tournament...which means id need 3 or 4 in top 12.
