  1. Anyone have experience with these? Im really into tubes last couple years and prefer texas rigging. Im using trokar tube hook and am having success but doesnt have the fall of a jighead tube. I use 4/0 trokars and dont know if i should get 3 or 5/0 owner....the 4 fits perfectly. I know the owners line tie is a little further back in bait. Thanks guys
  2. I use 1/16 and 1/8 jigheads on 3 inch swimbaits and wanted to ask if you allnwoukd suggest a rod that is 7'6"? I have a 7'1" Ml xf but its good for dropshots but I find it a little wimpy at times. Id also like to have both techniques available to me at same time.
  3. Scott posts on bass resource Kvd does not /thread
  4. Merry christmas Hope yall have a preposterous 2017 fishing season
  5. Yesterday we had early xmas with my family and I got some strike king crappie lures and some spinnerbaits. My girlfriend gave me an early present of a bbz baby shad and 6th sense cloud crankbait. Cant wait to see what i get today after work. Post up here when yall unwrap your new toys/obsession
  6. There are no rules in bass fishing! Bass can become more active as the day wears on... ...or perhaps youve changed up your plan or presentation and location. Fishing 38 degree surface temps a couple weeks ago i started catching em at 10am.....after i switched to a jig from a tube and targeted bluff walls.
  7. Soft jerkbaits, chatterbaits, shallow shallow crankbaits. And jigs work in grassy soft bottom areas when you throw them into laydowns and work them above the gunk through the branches
  8. I can assure you the blems action is 100% One of my go to fish getters
  9. We are in north There are some good sticks in some of the south clubs though
  10. There are places worse than others. One small small pond I fish with my kayak is located near a very sketchy area and the boat ramp constantly has cars pulling up and sitting and then leaving at ALL hours. One night I was about to go to ramp when a car pulled up at 1 am and sat there for 15 minutes.
  11. I like the user name area being a different color so its easier to distinguish between posts when scrolling quick.
  12. I use revenge darter heads and gambler tz swimmers. Large crappie and bass love em. Very good on smallies Ill have to look into those owner inshores tho.
  13. Ive got 6...some of them you cant even tell what the blemish is! They are the only popper I use.
  14. Gambler flappy daddy... Has some action not a lot but i caught them in 39 degree water....it didnt seem to bug them. Not really sure where the whole "no action" school of thought comes from or if there is any solid evidence behind it. Even the flappiest trailer doesnt move when youve got the jig parked on the bottom
  15. If you read any post in this thread, read that one. (no offense guys)
  16. Went yesterday...water temp 39 degrees. Used a 3/8 green pumpkin jig and caught 5. Didnt fish it super slow...just tossed it to rocks and wood and they usually hit on the slow fall. Bottom is mucky but if i found laydowns or bush piles i could keep it off bottom and thats how i got bit. Just lift and drop and pick up slack over rocks and branches....doesnt need to be super slow
  17. Ive actually thought of getting a small arig for throwing 3 inch swimbaits and wanted suggestions as well. I have a larger arig and a rod to throw it with but wanted something more finesse
  18. Im in one of the biggest clubs in wv with 20 some members. We hold a late winter meeting to set schedule with majority rule on the dates. There are conflicting schedules and sometimes we have low attendance and have guys fish in other clubs at same time. As long as they pay their dues and show up for a couple torunaments they are in good standing. If they want to leave and others go with them that is their choice...you cant force people to stay.

Ive pretty much stopped throwing frogs for toads. In heavy cover i can stop the toad. In more open water if i need to pause on surface Ill go frog or a popper
  20. Beavers are not creatures Creatures are like brush hogs and anything with crazy appendages. Id say most creature baits will not be good punch baits due to lengthy appendages catching vegetation
  21. I read something online that the sonar pod doesnt extend far enough for SI transducer to work properly...regardless Im not in a situation to trade in my lure for a new (if i did id ratger have the new propulsion system)
  22. What brand swing arms yall recommend?
  23. Never ever had an issue with the san diego jam tied properly which isnt hard
  24. Regarding the deployment arm...are they ram mount compatible? The feelfree has adjustable mounts that accepts ram which would be ideal for me
