Wacky Dropshot 4" Stickworm Approach ?
While I was fishing with the above described tactic I was just targeting bass and did land a few spots. I think your setup sounds good. If you are used to dropshotting smaller baits then I feel like when I dropshot a stickworm it feels really heavy for dropshotting.

Questions on the Mattlures Gills
Best tip for not throwing $19+ into the lake is a good strong knot and some mend it glue.

Mojo Rigging - Favorite Baits?
For this method I like using flukes, senkos, brush hogs, lizards, and sometimes little paddle tail swimbaits like a keitech.
-
Best paddletail swimbaits
I also use the keitech fat swing impacts and they work well but I have also used the Berkley grass pig and the zoom swimin fluke. I do prefer the keitechs though.

Money saving tricks, ideas, and homemade stuff
True but when fishing hard baits established around cover the will get hung and thats where it becomes expensive, losing 3-4 cranks one day which can add up to 60$ or more.

Frog/jig rod
St croix mojo bass rods are mostly pretty heavy rods that would be good for that. For froggin I would want a 7'-7'3" rod with a good heavy backbone

Best Line to Use for Finesse Fishing (spinning reel)
My favorite for finesse on spinning tackle is 15 pound braid to a 6-10 foot long florocarbon leader, usually 10 lb floro. Although maybe got heavier floro for shakey heads but that's just because I like fishing heavier line with them.

Money saving tricks, ideas, and homemade stuff
Use the wacky tool with o-rings for wacky rigging. Use off brand stick baits ( bps, yum dingers, big bite baits, etc) instead of GYB senkos. Fish less with hard baits as they are generally more pricey than soft plastics or jigs.

Loomis E6X thoughts
Goods rods but when I went to go buy one I just couldn't bring myself to pay 180 for the e6x while there was a duckett for a lot cheaper and the duckett was lighter.
