I can throw 3/4 oz lipless crankbaits and Sammys a lot further than I have to, I think 40 yards would be a good ball park estimate

I use 8 lb invisx on a 30 size pflueger, which is a pretty small reel. I also feel that seaguar is thinner than most other lines

They really like white super flukes and spinnerbaits around me. I enjoy catching them, but I don't specifically target them.

Went out Friday after work to do some shore fishing. Got two nice bass, probably around 2.5-3lbs on a fat ika, and three little guys off a chrome rat-l-trap. Took the kayak out Saturday to one of my honey holes and got nothing, only one nibble the entire trip.

Had a lews tournament mg but I like the tatula better. The only thing better about the lews was that it was a lot smaller. Both are good reels

I would like a st croix legend elite with a conquest on it, however I may give rod building a shot over the winter. Also, am I the only one that has a separate bank account dedicated to fishing equipment?

Another vote for daiwa tatula, I'd take it over most reels regardless of price. Give Ron at valley sports a call and see what he can do for you.

I use a zillion for frogging but if I were in the market for a new one I would get a tatula.

It's not magic, but you will see a noticeable difference.

I like spro and koppers, I use the spro bronzeye 65 in killer gill 90% of the time.

Been hitting the bank recently and the bite has been pretty tough. Just some small fish, last night I had a 5 inch perch eat a 4 inch fat ika. I felt the bite but after I set the hook I thought I missed the fish until I brought my bait back

Tatula is a great reel, I prefer it to most of my other reels that cost twice as much.

I don't think they discount the reels, at least they haven't for me.

If buy either a tatula or 50 size shimano. If the new zillions were out Id take a chance on one of them too

Senko Trick worm either weightless or with 1/4 oz weight Topwater If I'm at a pond that I know doesn't have a lot of weeds I'll throw some squarebills and rat l traps, but those places are few and far between

If you catch the dig before you cast it it's pretty easy to get out, just pull out the line like you would a backlash. If you have a crazy backlash sometimes you just have to take your time with it.

Not sure who makes it, I think booyah, but it's one of the ones with a clacker. I got a few cavitrons too but I like the clacking sound, I wouldn't say one catches more than the other. The only trailer I ise is a trailer hook

I have a backpack that I carry 3-4 planos in and some plastics, a crate for my kayak that holds the same as my backpack, and a larger tackle bag for when I go on a boat.

Every now and then I take some PTO to give myself a long weekend, but I've never called in to go fishing. One time I got a call around 11 from a guy who used to work with us (retired now) asking if I wanted to go fishing. My boss let me go on the spot.

After thinking about it I don't think I've ever caught a bass on a super fluke, but pickerel slam them. Guess I'm either fishing it in te wrong place or the picks are just faster

Maybe since it's so heavy it might be better to lob it rather than casting it like you normally would a lure

I throw frogs on a mh rod rated up to 1 oz, I also use that rod as my all around. If you're set on 2 rods I'd spend more on the all around than the frog rod

I wouldn't buy a new reel just to cast it. I use 5000/6000 size reels on my surf rods (9ft). You should be able to bomb that sonar out there with that set up. Are you having difficulty casting it, or does it just feel awkward doing so?
