a few questions on braid
I am sure these questions have probably been answered a few times but i searched the forums and couldnt find what i was lookin for. I am thinking about trying braided line and i've got a few questions regarding to it. I do apologize because im sure they have been answered many times. Thanks alot I appreciate it! 1. Is it safe to use on st croix avid series rods and shimano baitcast reels (citica and cardiff)? 2. If its safe to use on those reels, does it matter which model of the reels? If so which model would work the best? 3. Will it hurt to use it for all lures? cranks, jigs, spinnerbaits etc. 4. Should I use the biggest braid that will fit the reel? 5. Do you have to tie on a leader even though it will be visible in clear water? Thanks again!

New (2005) boat I am seriously considering
Is there any advice or tips that you could give? Maybe any modifications you have made? I tried to install the baffle/dividers in the livewell with no luck. How the heck do you get them in the slots? Thanks The only advice i can give is on your test run be sure to fill that live well up with water and see how the boat planes. Mine took forever to get on plane with the livewell full but the dealership i bought mine from got that fixed for me and now she planes out awesome. I dont remember what they had to do but they got it fixed for me. Other than that i dont really know of anything because i have absolutely no complaints what so ever with it. Though it may only be a 16' boat it rides awesome. I take mine out on big lakes with unlimited hp all the time and she takes it without any problems. I couldnt be happier. I cant really help you out with the livewell divider problem because mine was already installed. Hope this helps! Good luck!

deck lighting
I have been thinking about maybe installing some kind of deck lighing on the front and rear casting deck for some night fishing. My question is do you think if i recess them directly on the deck will it blind me while fishing? Will it just be a waste of my time? Im not doing anything for sure i just thought it would be a neat idea. Thanks

looking for that new boat...
Im sorry you feel that way about the Lowe Stinger. I own a 2005 Lowe Stinger and have never had that problem or any problems at all with mine. But then again mine is only the 16' model so there may be a difference between it and the bigger models.

sUpgrade Questions
well im an electrician so if you have any more electrical questions feel free to ask. ill try my best to help out but cant guarantee anything. there is a big defference between wiring a boat and wiring a house haha.

sUpgrade Questions
if u cant find any marine cable for your TM just go to your local electrical store or electrical department at your local lowes, menards, or home depot and tell them you need some #6 stranded THHN. even though #8 is rated at 55 amps and #6 is rated at 75 amps you never want to put #8 on more than a 40 amp breaker. and never put #6 on more than a 60 amp breaker. so for 50 amps and 60 amps you want to use a #6 wire. hope this helps

Need some advice on boat choice.
i dont really have any experience with the tracker boats but i just wanted to say that you might try looking into the the lowe stinger series of boats if you are intersested in the pro team series because they are basically the same difference. i say this because i own an 05 lowe 160 stinger and i am very happy with this boat. it has everything that i could ever want. i am not bashing the tracker boats at all because they look like very nice boats i just thought i would tell you that i have had excellent luck with my lowe. i dont know if this helps any but i hope it does.

your experience lowe v tracker
i have no experience with the bass tracker but i can vouch for the lowe. i own a 2005 lowe stinger 160 and this is a very nice boat. it has a merc 25hp 4 stroke motor and it pushes the boat at around 22-24 mph. the boat rides smooth and everything. i looked at both the bass tracker and lowe and the lowe just seemed better built to me. the lowe has aluminum decks, bigger fuel cells, and the contsruction of the boat just looked nicer but thats just my opinion. both boats looked very nice though i just liked the lowe better. mine is a little smaller than the 170 being mines a 160 but i cant imagine there is a whole lot of difference besides the size. the boat is perfect for small and medium sized lakes. it has plenty of room for 2 people to fish off of it and if u wanted to it could fish 3. hope this helps
