  1. They are not the same blanks. The ACU pattern wouldn't stick to a savvy blank. It's somewhere between a savvy and a champion. I personally don't have experience with this rod but it's been discussed many different places that I found while researching myself.
  2. What depth are you fishing the crankbaits? And how heavy of a spinnerbait? I have thrown square bills and spinnerbaits on a 7' mh/f rod. I throw a little deeper cranks on a 7' m/f. I just prefer the way it feels over a more moderate action. I have thrown DD22s on that same rod though not often.
  3. Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of routes you could go. Like the one right above this, 7'1 and 7'3. I am just suggesting the ***.
  4. I'd go with the ***. I love my 7'1 med/fast. Since you're matching the rods with the same reels it'd be cool to get both 7'1 m/f and 7'1 mh/f. That'd cover you pretty well!! Just gotta be careful to remember which one is in your hands!
  5. ^^^ x2. As much as I love to have one rod for one technique, sometimes I like to switch it up. And I just really like nice gear
  6. I love it, once you start moving to longer handles it's really hard to go back. At least for me.
  7. I know! It's weird because when you click to enlarge it, it goes right side up. Technology??
  8. Finally got around to installing a few more HawgTech handles
  9. Hawgtech does it right and does it well. I have 5 handles from them and they're all fantastic.
  10. Pfluegger president combo. Can't beat it, still have mine today and it gets used quite often.
  11. I'm wondering if these are a second generation. I've got a Cabela's TXS rod from back when they were labeled with Roman numerals. I've got a V but I've also seen VI's and IV's. I actually really like mine, it's a 7 foot H and I can fish with it comfortably all day long.
  12. I have 2 other swept handles from them and absolutely love them and will definitely be getting more 8)
  13. Bryan, I'm about to do the same thing to mine. I was thinking blue to match my donyns champ but that green is Awesome
  14. That's awesome. I'm definitely jealous of the Ito
  15. 5fishlimit, I'd love to see a picture of that combo! Also Doyle, what reel did you pair yours with?
  16. Just got back from BPS and taking advantage of the rod trade in. I'm now the proud owner of a 6'10" mh/f and the 7'1" mh/xf. The 610 will be used for swimjigs and the 701 will be for jigs/t-rigs. These will be paired with a tatula and zillion respectively.
  17. I don't even have words for what I just looked at. That's so far beyond awesome
  18. I just made a phone call and at least the store in Myrtle Beach will start accepting rods AND reels tomorrow while continuing to take reels through the 8th
  19. Forgot to mention the sol and 100SHA both have boca orange seals
  20. A few combos I brought with me from MN to NC Daiwa Sol w/ zillion handle on a 13 OBC71M Daiwa Zillion 100SHA on a Zillion TDZL701MXB Daiwa Zillion 100HA w/Hawgtech handle on a Cabela's TXS V Daiwa T3BLS 100HS w/Hawgtech on a St.Croix MBC70MHF Daiwa Tatula 100HS on a Carrot Stix Wild Black CWZ691MH-F-C
  21. Pretty sure I'm going to take a trip down to BPS this weekend. Hopefully they have one of each in stock still. I'll take some pictures for you if you'd like. Hopefully someone can answer before that though
  22. I too love my ballistic. Great reel especially for the price they're at right now
