Minnesota Lakes Fishing Report.
Come to think of it Zumbra is where my avatar picture was taken. I was out with my usual partner and one of my buddies was in town. Had to show him how it's done, Minnesota style!

Minnesota Lakes Fishing Report.
I haven't been fishing back home now for some time but Zumbra Lake is a honey! It can be tricky getting a boat in as the ramp can get prety shallow and washed out but if you can get in you can catch some good fish. I caught a tagged largemouth of there the last time I was there that went between 3 and 4 pounds. Located in Carver County off of HWY 7.

New Oakley Lens For Fishing - Bronze Or Gold Iridium Polarized?
I see you mentioned VR 28 lenses being available. This is my all time favorite polarized tint. It excels (for me) both on and off the water. One of the strangest situations I wear them is while I'm driving in the rain. Not sure why but I feel like they help. I need to pick up some new lenses myself, unfortuantely these are on backorder.

All In The Family - Daiwa Zillions And Tatula Type R
Hands down all time favorite!!! I've got a very similar collection. Wish they hadn't done away with it!

Close Combat
Sorry for being so vague! Really all I'm looking for is how the two shorter rods compare to their longer counterparts for situations I feel a shorter rod is more comfortable or convenient to use. I've got the longer rods and love them both, just looking to add something else to the lineup.

Close Combat
I'm needing a new rod for close quarters combat. How do the Dobyns 683/684 compare to their longer counterparts the 733/734? I would imagine that because of the shorter length, the shorter rod may feel more powerful. Looking for any helpful insight any of you may have. I'll be giving them a call later this afternoon to see what the creator has to say as well. Thanks in advance.

Top 5 Favorite Pond Bass Lures?
I use a Booyah Pond Assassin spinnerbait on good size lakes and catch decent fish, I imagine they would be king in a pond! (Or so Booyah would have us believe! )

Help Me Pick My Next Spinning Setup
In my experience 1000 sized reels are perfect for ultralight use but to me they are uncomfortably small. I think the 2500 size is about perfect for a rod that length. I've got a 2000 size Daiwa ProcyonEX on a 7' rod and I couldn't ask for a better size. I've also got a Pflueger President combo with what they call a 6930 size, which I believe is comparable to a 2500, on a 6' rod and that is a joy to fish as well.

Baby Slug-Go
Where have they all gone??? Specifically the 4.5 inch in Red Shad. That's my confidence color! After this bag my stock will be depleted and I will need to source more. Anybody have any insight??

Steez Spool/braking System
Thanks for the confirmation, and I agree that Z is far less finicky. Time and place for everything. Though an SV might just solve the problem in a one spool package.

Steez Spool/braking System
Quick question/ fact check: By swapping spools in a Steez (103 to 100) it would change the braking profile from Mag-V to Mag-Z right? I think I read this somewhere but now I can't find the information anymore... Currently looking to replace the SV spool I sold and possibly add a Steez 100 spool to the lineup as well. Thanks all

Champion 733 Vs 734

Is that front MBUS mounted backwards too?

Do Jerkbaits Work In The Summer?
I've got a hard jerkbait tied on 100% of the time and will throw it almost 100% of the time as well. I've even gone so far as to use a jerkbait like the Xrap as a search bait. Though I could also just be crazy.

Line For Squarebills
I like 14lb trilene xl though I do throw my squarebills on mh/f rods

Any News On The Dobyns Fury?

Daiwa Tatula And Zillions Pic

Classic Winner
First off, congrats to Casey Ashley on becoming the classic champion. 50 pounds is an impressive bag in the crappy conditions they were fishing in. In his speech he talked about how he won on a homemade lure from his dad and how his dad told him this was the lure he would win the classic with. That's cool if you ask me. I pose this question to you all: do you foresee this homemade creation reaching the market? Or will it stay an Ashley family secret so to speak?

Dobyns - New Contender For The $100 Rod Catergory
Looks like a fury and an E6X would make quite the dynamic duo! I see both in my near future.

New Shadow Rap
I'm gonna need the whole line up as mentioned earlier it's reminiscent of the flat rap... One of my personal favorites. I have a jerkbait tied on all year long and this just adds another weapon to my arsenal.
