Daiwa finally lost it
Heck, it might not even be called "Steez", the official name hasn't been released. More to come 29 January.

Daiwa finally lost it
I'd really like to see more pictures of it. I'm honestly kind of intrigued by it. Not to say it will replace my current Steez reels by any means.

Buying guides
Just the guy I was hoping would chime in. Thanks, exactly what I was looking for, from both of you!

Buying guides
Did a little searching but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. A buddy of mine that I now live close to does some rod building on the side and I have a couple rods that I want him to redo the guides on. Looking to downsize to semi micros, think along the lines of Orochi XX guides. I understand spacing will come into play as well, but how exactly does one buy guides?? As a set or as individual guides? I've cruised mudhole a little bit but figured I would ask the wealth of knowledge here. Thanks in advance to all who chime in on this. Looking for good, quality guides and the best way to buy them!

Oh I didn't need to know that.

Reel IPT
Ah, that's my fault for assuming it was a casting reel. Personally I don't throw crankbaits on spinning gear. I know guys that do, just not for me.

Reel IPT
What reel are you looking at with those stats? 33 IPT seems pretty high for a 5.4. Regardless I burn squarebills with a 7.3 that pulls in around 32 IPT. So no, it's not too fast for me.

I love my Spinnerbait Special. If you got it where I think you did you got a great price on it. Enjoy.

Project T 2016
I've stocked up on the current Steez variants so if they decide to change it up, I won't be too upset. But I agree, why fix what isn't broken? That's why I haven't bought a new Zillion yet.

New Reel
Keep in mind the only useful distance is one that you can still effectively set the hook. That being said I've owned a 200i and handled a concept. I would go with the shimano all day. Just my personal preference.

Fc Sniper Of Assasin?
John, have you used assassin? I've been curious about its qualities as well.

New Generation Of Tatula Rods?
There's the new Tatula XT rods that are out. My guess is they wanted a bit more separation between the original Tat rod and their Zillion rod. I could be way off.

Dobyns Champion Or Megabass Levante
I use my XX TV in a lot of situations. The edge I feel my 734 (never thrown a 704) had when I owned it was my comfort level throwing squarebills with it as well. I only say that because my FSS has taken over responsibility in that department so I've never tried with my TV. I can only imagine the Levante will be just as versatile, but like others have said, the jury is still out on them because they're a brand new line.

I wish I could say I've fished it!! I'm currently in San Diego at Recruiter's School so it's waiting for me at my folks place. Sort of an early Christmas present from myself that the wife doesn't know about...

Throw It Away
Most baits with lead have this warning. Kind of hard to avoid in the fishing world.

Could You Beat Kvd 1 Vs 1 If All He Could Use Is A Cheap Spincaster?
Maybe if he was blindfolded on my home lake!

Daiwa Fuego 8.1:1?
Look at it in terms of IPT. The HS model pulls in 30.5" and the XS is at 33.9" according to Daiwa's website.

Christmas Season..
SV 103 and a mix of shallow and deep SV spools for my current reels. Perhaps an MB finesse spool for my IS. But that means I need to find a finesse rod...

Favorite Squarbill/ Medium Depth Crankbait Rod?
Not only is the FSS my go to rod for squarebills it also handles jerkbaits pretty well. And I'll even go as far as to throw a DT10 on it. Maybe you consider that mid, maybe you don't. But it's always with me when I go out.
