Some anglers are already reporting a few pike have been showing up again at Lake Davis and I believe one was caught in a fyke net.

T rig them weightless like a senko and they work great.

I do very well on fire tiger, but I think cotton candy is a dumb color and I've also never done that well on glow plastics.

I have no problem throwing smaller and lighter cranks on six pound test. I am never afraid to use finesse. Sometimes it's the only way to get bit.

I've never used those ones before besides the Pop R and the popping frog and both work well. As for poppers though, none compair to a skitterpop. The skitterpop bloops, spits, and walks better than any of them, and makes great noises from tiny blips to loud blurps.

This is pretty sick. Introduced species cause little actual harm to native species in most instances. Here in Colorado, bass, pike, catfish, walleye and all gamefish get killed in our rivers because of the fear that they hurt native suckers and chubs. That's right, native suckers and chubs. They also refuse to manage our lakes for gamefish because of fears the above species might escape into the river. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of our gamefish have been killed by the Colorado Division Of Wildlife and US Fish and Wildlife. They stock only trout here in Western Colorado because trout can't live in most of the warmer areas where native fish live and also based on a ridiculous lie that trout "don't eat fish" which we all know is a blatant mistruth. Environmental groups are an enemy of freedom in this country. They operate on bias and phoney science rather than actual facts and truth. They have already penetrated the Colorado Division Of Wildlife and have turned that agency into one that kills and limits gamefish rather than one that protects them. The only answer is for anglers to stand up and loudly fight against these forces of tyranny, to not back down, and not to be politically correct. Look what has happened in Lake Davis in California. Pike became established in the reservoir and some claimed "harm" to the trout fishery. Authorities poisoned the lake, netted fish, used shocking and explosives, but the pike came back. About two years ago they decided to poison it again. Guess what? The pike are back AGGGAIN! Removal of established populations of fish is virtually impossible, and is a huge waste of taxpayer dollars. Sensible people who are tired of waste and pet projects need to team up with sportsmen to show these environmental nutjobs the door!

Make sure you are rigging the plastics correctly. Most of the time skin hooked or texposed is the way to go. Nothing will cause you to miss more strikes than improperly rigged plastics. Using extra sharp hooks and a rod with enough backbone to feel hits and set the hook is crucial. I have no issues hooking up on gamakatsu EWG hooks, from fishing with 6 pound test with small flukes all the way up to 14 pound test with big worms and lizards.

Waste of money they suck.

My experiences have been good with them, and the XPS Rattle Shad is my favorite lipless crank.

I would say any bait that's heavy and wears you out, like deep diving cranks or big spinnerbaits. Using casting tackle with somewhat heavier line helps with that though, and those lures catch bass for me. Jerkbaits, both hard and soft, leave my wrists sore at the end of the day but I catch so many fish on them I am usually always using them for part of the day.

I have no problem with them not suspending correctly. They are worth the money as they have a more subtle action than the X - Rap and work better in some circumstances. I never go on the water without X - Raps, Pointers, and Husky Jerks though.

I have caught a lot of fish on the banjo minnow. Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Pike, Crappie, Perch and bluegills. They stink compared to flukes, sluggos, or senkos though. The worst lure I have ever tried is the Lucky Craft Live Pointer. The tail doesn't swish and it has little action period. A cheap little crankbait called an "ugly duckling" also ranks up there, didn't dive at ALL, just ran STRAIGHT as an arrow on the surface.

The only places I do well with hollow frogs are over emerging vegetation but in those areas they can be lethal.

Short twitches and also moving it just enough to get the legs moving. Slowly retrieves over cover, and LONG pauses around irregularities and edges are the way to go.

Senkos work best in slackwater areas of rivers IMO but I have caught them in swift water too. I usually do better on tubes and grubs in rivers though honestly. But in deep, slack areas, senkos rule.

In lakes for smallies I like skitterpops the best, in rivers nothing beats a cavitron buzzbait. Both lures will work in both locations though. I think buzzing and prop style baits work better in current than walkers or poppers.

I keep them in the original bags and put them in wrap style zips like Tackle Logic.

Looking now I probably won't buy it because I have several magic swimmers already, and if I want a better and cheaper jointed bait, I will use the River@sea Vjoint minnow. The action looks pretty much the same as the sebile.

In the shallower waters, nothing beats a 4.5" sluggo. I prefer to throw soft jerks on spinning gear with a stiff action, MH spinning rod with 8 - 12 pound mono.
