Bass Pro Kermy Frog
Does the river 2 sea frog not sink as much as the spro? I like the spro but it does seem to take on too much water and can sink. I doctored them by caulking the hook hole and then cutting a small slit on the top so the frog body would still collapse. I know I will be getting Ish's Phat Phrog though.

Pegging Tungsten Weights
Don't use toothpicks, use parasite weights and clips, they work WAY better and never come loose. parasiteweights.com

Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
I once landed a $10 bill in the Colorado River that was on a clump of moss in 20 feet of water.
-
What about your State?
I DO however think catch and release fishing should be legal during closed seasons unless the fish are so concentrated that it would interrupt spawning, such as when salmonids gather by the hundreds in certain areas.
-
What about your State?
It's in the 40s and 50s here in Colorado and most low elevation lakes are ice free, but temps are in the low 40s and bass are still sluggish. I would KILL to have a state that actually managed gamefish and didn't kill them the way Colorado does. The Colorado Division Of Wildlife either directly kills or won't manage for any nonnative fish besides trout West Of the Continental divide. So not being able to fish for them till May 1st would be a tiny price to pay as far as it concerns me. There is no state fisheries worse than the Colorado Division Of Wildlife, popularly known as the Colorado Disaster Of Wildlife. Their main accomplishments are the killings of tens of thousands of gamefish over the last several years because of a twisted, ecological purity political agenda where anything that might possibly compete with native chubs, suckers and squawfish (considered trashfish by state residents) is placed on the chopping black. > > >

Coton Cordell Super Spot?
on a recent BassPros episode, they said that the spot can be fished slower than other rattlebaits because its slower fall. That's why I like them.
-
Underrated baits
Centipede and French Fry baits, as are inline spinners and casting spoons.
-
Your favorite spinnerbait?
3/8 ounce Pepper Hawg with a white skirt, with tandem willow and colorado blades, the willow being gold.

favorite fishing show
I love bass but I'm a multispecies guy, so In Fisherman TV is my favorite by far but I like just about any fishing show.

The Reservoir Closers Strike Again
That's government for you, they act like they own everything and it's not ours.

Bass Pro Kermy Frog
They look identical to the spro frogs and the colors are even EXACTLY the same. One reviewer even said they don't take on water as bad as the spros, and at 4.99 they look well worth trying. Anyone tried them yet?

Coton Cordell Super Spot?
A better lipless crank than Rat L Traps, if not the best lipless crank out there, especially for the price. They sink a bit slower than Rat L Traps but they have a little bit wider wiggle. I like both of them though.

Hard Jerkbaits
For jerkbait colors I prefer baby bass, perch colors, gold black, firetiger, olive green, and the hot orange colors. In shad waters I do like silver black and silver blue, or natural shad colors. Like most lures it all depends on water clarity and forage, and to a lesser extent sometimes you have to use a color the fish haven't seen as much or aren't conditioned to.
-
Soft swimbaits - will they make my cranks second fiddle?
They are good baits and good in clear water, but sometimes fish have a tendency to follow them without taking. But they will never replace cranks, because cranks are so deadly much of the time and are much different baits, used with much different tactics. Swimbaits are usually used more for finesse and realism in a bait you can cover water with. Cranks are more designed for a reflex/reaction type hit, and adding pauses, directional changes, and bonking the lure off of rocks, weed tips, the bottom or wood is what triggers 80% of crankbait strikes.

If you had one color soft plastic, what color? Worm, lizzard?
Pearl white
-
best colors in stained water
Black, junebug, chartreuse, fire tiger, purple, pink.
-
Spinnerbait Binder
I have to have three binders. The good thing about the binders is they take up less space.
-
At what water clarity will you cease fishing a jerkbait in ?
Heavily stained is when I will stop, but bigger, darker cranks work well in cloudier water.

Lipless Cranks And Braid
I use a slow action rod for cranks and I've used braid with other treble hooked lures and haven't had problems losing fish. I set the drag lighter though.
-
Worm Wallets
I use the Falcon tackle, Tackle Logic and BPS ones and they are great.
