stick bait options ....
From what I've used I would say dingers, but nothing works quite as well as the original senko.

Round reel vs. low-profile reel
Whenever you need heavier line and higher capacity, that's when you use one.

new to braid....what do you use to cut it?
A good sharp pocket knife cuts it cleanly.

Spinnerbait/ buzzbait set-up question (baitcasting)
I use mono only for both applications. For both I like a fiberglass or composite rod with a slower action. As for the reel, I prefer a slow gear ratio reel for spinnerbaits since I prefer to fish them as deep and as slow as possible most of the time. With buzzbaits, go with at least 6.4:1. Twelve of fourteen pound mono is great all around for buzzbaits and spinnerbaits.

Score: Tubes 0 - Senkos 18 --- What am I doing wrong with my tubes?
I've done best for river smallies on tubes by using the lightest possible jighead and inserting it only part way into the tube, thus giving it a very erratic spiral and drop. I will then either crawl it forward or hop it off the bottom and let it fall again, seems they nail it on the fall usually. Motor oil, green pumpkin, and most natural craw colors have been the best for me.

BPS Hollow Body Frog
It looks like the colors are identical to spro on the Kermys.

good $50 spinning reel?
Abu Garcia cardinals or the Sedona.

tube fishing muddy water
Big, dark colored tubes with rattles would be what I would use, but I would try jigs first in just about all murky water.

Bomber Fat Free Shad baits
They might be the best line of cranks out there is all I can say.

Question for us Norman fans
The only way I would see using it is if you need a smaller profile crank.

Help Needed with Choosing Reel!
Another vote for the Curado! It's probably the best baitcaster for under $300, let alone under $200.

Best Smallmouth Lake
Saginaw Bay is a good one too, and don't overlook the Shiawasee River that forms the Saginaw with the Flint.

Awesome New Swimbait Puts The Hurt On Both Largemouth and Smallies
Giving that I recently had a pike drive a saltwater sized treble into my left ring finger, and having to spend $680 at the emergency room to have it removed, I won't even lip a bass that has a mouth full of trebles, I use the gripper.

Rapala Husky Jerk
Reeling, pausing, or twitching them in while varying the length of the pause is the key. Still one of the best lures out there.

Braid leader or not?
Always use a leader unless it's murky water, or with frogs. Use a mono leader for frogs and fluoro for everything else. Connected with back to back uni knots and make sure to lube the knots well.

BPS Quality for the money
I have a PQ baitcaster and it's for sure the best $100 baitcaster available. Most people that have a Citica as well say that the PQ is roughly about the same.

Best Smallmouth Lake
Erie, St. Claire, Dale Hollow, Pickwick, and for one out west I would say Utah's Jordanelle. Have seen lots of 6 - 8 pounders come out of there.

When and where to use white?
White is one of my top colors for senkos, tubes, flukes, and curly tails. It imitates lots of different bait fish, many of which tend to be lighter colored when small.

Awesome New Swimbait Puts The Hurt On Both Largemouth and Smallies
I have the lip gripper and it works great. The HD trout was catching 2 - 3 pound smallies last time I used it, and that's in a river with tons of 3" - 10" smallies.

Zillion, Revo, Curado, Patriarch XT, Others?
Curado

What in your opinion casts the farthest?
Go with the Curado. The E5 is awesome from all crankbait use and also slow rolling spinnerbaits.

Awesome New Swimbait Puts The Hurt On Both Largemouth and Smallies
The HD trout even works on river smallies. I haven't fished the Dynamo but it looks amazing.

Anyone using a Shimano Sedona?
I love the sedonas. I have a 4000 that I use as a buzzbait reel. They rock!

T-Rig worms help!
Use as little of weight as possible unless you are trying to penetrate thick cover.

Rice and stump field - good for buzzbait?
Buzzbaits will work for sure, but rice is really clingy so I might go with a Rage Shad or a Stanley Ribbit instead.
