Heddon Spit'n Image -How?
I love the spittin' image when I want a size of dog walker in between that of a zara puppy and a spook jr. I fish it just like a normal walking bait and the bass love it. I throw the smallest one on 12 pound test and can cast it a mile. It also has a fatter profile, which better imitates the bluegill and green sunfish that Colorado bass usually feed on.

Massachusetts Goes Lead Free Jan 1, 2012
It is not solid science, just the tree hugger, enviro marxists gone wild yet again. If I were you guys, I would gather enough signatures on a petition to put the measure to a vote. It would be better if you saved enough money to run an add countering the earth muffins.

Lightest Weight You Can Pitch With
I know 14 pound test is a little light for pitchin and flippin', but in most of the lakes I fish the cover is sparse enough that it's all you need.

Lightest Weight You Can Pitch With
I have gotten comfortable pitching a 3/8 ounce weight on 14 pound line, up to about 25 - 30 feet now. I am having trouble pitching 1/4 ounce weights because of overruns. What's the lightest weight you guys can pitch with? Any tips for pitching with lighter weights? My motion is still awkward but I'm getting better. Next up is to learn skipping.

Do Northern Strain Lm Eat Smaller Forage?
One of our lakes here in Western Colorado has a fair amount of 5 - 8 pound bass, though they aren't exactly common in that range. The lake is also stocked with rainbow trout. The bass do eat a fair amount of the 10" - 12" stocked rainbow trout. Another of our lakes has quite a few 2 - 5 pound largemouth and is also stocked with rainbows. Even a 3 - 4 pound largemouth can eat a stocker rainbow fairly easily. I know the big smallmouth in Utah's Jordanelle Reservoir eat a few rainbows too. Big baits catch some nice bass here in Colorado. Your numbers will go down, but my friends have caught them with 8" swimbaits, and I catch lots on 6" - 8" plastics.

Brakes And Spool Tension With Pitching
I don't do much pitching since the waters I fish usually the cover is relatively sparse and the water is clear. I need to improve my pitching for other waters though. Anyways, how do you set your brakes and spool tension when you are pitching to help keep backlashes to a minimum? Do I set them more loose than normal or tighter?

Deep Diving Jerkbaits
I'm on a big jerkbait bite lately, so that's why all the jerkbait questions. Anyways, I have a really hard time getting the same action from an X - Rap deep as an X - rap shallow. How do you fish it to get similiar action? Also, does the LC pointer deep have similiar action to the shallow or do you have to fish it differrently?

Hook N Look Tv Cks Out The 4" Rage Tail Grub
Looks like they would be a good option for texas rigging when a bigger worm isn't garnering many hits. The rage shad is my favorite topwater for bass these days besides maybe skitterpops, spooks, and buzzbaits.
-
Eerratic Shad
What type of action does the Eerattic shad have, in comparison to an X - Rap or pointer?
-
Fishing The Husky Jerk
I use X - Raps and pointers more than Husky Jerks. Generally I throw those on 15 pound braid and a 12 pound fluoro leader, and use sharp, downward twitches of the rod to get them to dance. I know Husky Jerks don't have the same action, but I have been having trouble getting them to twitch well when I jerk them. Should I use mono or fluoro with them instead? The main question is, how do you guys retrieve a husky jerk different from an X - Rap or pointer?

Reusing Soft Plastics
Mend it works awesome! Worth every penny and will save you money by allowing you to re - use even really soft plastics, like senkos, rage shads, and roboworms.

Best Turnover Baits?

Best Turnover Baits?
The weeds are dying and my small lakes are turning over. Caught one decent one yesterday on a spinnerbait and had a couple other hits in a couple hours of fishing, which in the same time normally I average 5 - 7 bass. What are your favorite baits to use during turnover and after turnover? Water temps should stay well above 50 for about another month. Should I fish shallow or deep during turnover?

Fishing Centipedes/french Fries
When you guys are C rigging them do you just drag them slowly or do you hop them off the bottom once in a while? I usually use pretty light weights on my C rigs, as light as 1/8 of an ounce, because the lakes I fish are shallow, 18 feet at the deepest and most of the "deep" water is 10 - 12 feet. If I was fishing around 20 feet I would go with the traditional 1/2 ounce or bigger weight.

Fishing Centipedes/french Fries
How do you guys fish a centipede or french fry, I'm just curious. Basically how do you rig it and what type of retrieve do you use?

Lake Powell Az. Fishing
I would go with 6 - 10 pound fluoro. You don't need baitcast gear unless throwing deep cranks or bigger topwaters. Tons of smallies but most are under 3 pounds. The largemouth bass are a little bigger though, lots up to 5 - 7 pounds. You can catch both in the same areas but brushier areas and adjacent water tend to be better for bucketmouths. Shad or crayfish colored grubs, tubes, and senkos are dynamite for this lake.
-
Best reel oil?
I like quantum hot sauce, or is that classified as a grease rather than oil?
-
Hair Jigs for smallies
They are good anytime the water is below 60, but when fished faster they can still work in warmer water. Tip them with a little plastic crayfish or double tail. The rage chunk is a good choice for a trailer too.

Need fluke advice...fish spitting them out...
Are you using braid or mono/fluoro? Try rubbing it up with megastrike.
