I think matching a color to what the craws in your lake look like is the only important thing. I usually look for craws around the lakes I fish and I havent found a difference in their colors at any certain point of the year. If you want to match the color of the craws in your area I recomend either using a trap, or like me, walk around a rip rap at one of your lakes and flip up rocks. In my area this is what the craws look like 95 percent of the time.

I do but if you are going to do it be sure to hold the skirt down or else it will fall apart. Make sure you are using a very small ziptie as well.

If you can wire tie you should do that for sure but zip ties work prety godd too

I fish Bladed Swim Jigs (Chatterbaits) differently then regular swim jigs and spinnerbaits. With regular swim jigs and spinnerbaits I will burn them, twitch them, let them fall, an yo-yo them. But I fish Bladed Swim Jigs how most guys would fish a swimbait, as slow as I can reel to keep the bait thumping.

Well I went to Best Buy today and found the Canon Powershot Sx520 HS marked down from $400 to $200 it is not waterproof which was fine because I only wanted that to take underwater shots of fish, but it is not a deal breaker. I played around with it and and looked up some reviews on my phone and seemed to be pretty good so I bought it. From some of the other features of it, it had seemed it would also be good for other uses. Thanks for all the recommendations every one!! I have 2 curado I's and a CI4 the Curado is the best bang for your buck. I personally like the CI4 a little more just because its a little lighter and I really like the color scheme. The CI4 handles lighter baits a little better than the Curado. Other than that they are pretty identical.

I use mustad elite 1x strong 2x short and Owner ST36's. I tend to use the Mustads more because they are a little cheaper when buying in bulk. Like other 1.5s get size 2 hooks and 2.5s get size 1. Matt Allen posted an instresting video where he discussed red hooks. He said that when he put red hooks infront of the bait the fish tended to choke the bait head first more. I dont know if this is a legitimate thing or not but I found it interesting. On a side note does anybody who uses the mustads change their split rings to a smaller size to use larger hooks. I've heard mixed reviews of people doing this and wondered if anybody here does it.
