Weird Bites
Assuming they are bluegills, the bright side is that you're feeling those bites!

Most manufacturers didn't ask Bobby U for help, I guess.

Kayak Boat Control
I'm new to kayak fishing; been out just three times in my newish Wilderness Tarpon 100. I love it, but after years with a trolling motor, I feel a little helpless in the wind and current.....so, I've got a 'few' questions: -Do you use a stake out pole? If so, did you buy it? Make it? How do you use it? Stick it outside the yak and tether it? Through a scupper hole? If tethered, do you worry about getting pulled over? How do you stow it when not in use? Is it retractable? Do you use it to maneuver (poling)? If so, does yours have a combo handle/foot on one end? -Do you use an anchor? What weight? Trolley? How much rope do you carry? Where do you stow it? -What about a drift sock? Anyone use one in a kayak? If so, where do you attach it? How does it work for you? Do you maneuver with it deployed? -Do you carry a length of rope and tie off to tree branches? How does that work for you?

Bps Hooks
I bought a few larger packs a while back. They're sharp, but don't hold the point like a gammie, Mustad, etc. Worse, they will rust faster than the name brands. If you go through a lot of hooks and don't typically use one for more than a couple fish, they're not a bad deal. But, I'm done with them. My newest money saving experiment is bulk name-brand 60 deg jig hooks with hitchhikers -- I'm much more pleased so far.

Had A Chance Encounter With Thousands Of Shad...
I just resign myself to the assumption that with so much easy natural forage available, there's no reason for them to strike a lure. In open water, I'll try a popper through the middle of busting shad, or spinnerbait and crankbait right below the surface.

Quest For Top Water Strike.....tomorrow!
I'd like to be out as soon as it's light enough to launch safely.

Where To Find A Decent Left-Handed Casting Rod...
If it's a lefty reel, can't you just hold the right handed rod in your right hand and reel with your left hand?

Whether To Go Cheap Or Expensive
You've owned a Black Max? In the past? Did it fail you? Or did you get rid of it? Either way....if it didn't do the trick for you, then considering something of more lasting quality might be a good idea.

Those are among the "others" I was referring to

Football Head Carolina Weight Vs. Swinging Jig Head
Out of curiosity, what kind are you losing? I've had difficulty with a few different ones. However, the Biffle Hardhead is well worth whatever extra it costs, because it refuses to get stuck, snagged, lost..... May be just me and coincidence, but I've gone through about four to one of 'others' to the Gene Larew variety.

Best Rods 99.99 And Under
BR search doesn't handle 3-letter/number searches. Use Google for those.

T.r.d. Storage??
Good to know. Now, I just need to figure which of the 50 pounds of plastics I carry have plastisol....whatever that is. I tend to not put 'used' plastics back in original packaging. And, I quit using elaztech for a while because I had a lot of problems. But, now that I have some (I blame the recent ned hype)....now that I have some - they go back into the original packaging. No gas in my milk jugs.

T.r.d. Storage??
LOL....did they tell you not to keep them in the original packaging?

Any Intel On Shishebogama?
I grew up in WI and fished across the north growing up. Never for bass, however. I didn't 'convert' until I got to VA. In a couple weeks, we're going to spend a few days in a cabin on the southwest shore of Shishebogama, which I've never fished before. From everything I can tell, it is a good looking lake. I'm pretty excited, as I haven't fished in WI in over 30 years....I don't know what to target first...lol. Anyone here on BR spend any time on this water this year or in recent years?

Rage Tails With 'claws' -- Taking It To The Next Level....
If I'm Texas rigging Cut-R's, Structure Bugs, Lizards, Anacondas, I'll use whichever 3/0 or 4/0 EWG is on top in my tackle box - mostly gammies, Owners and Mustads. If I'm using a Thumper, it's more likely to be a 3/0 offset round bend. I never got comfortable/confident with the Recon for some reason.

Rage Tails With 'claws' -- Taking It To The Next Level....
Lobster - 4 1/2" Space Monkey - 4" Chunk - 3" Menace - 4" DB Craw - 4" Baby Craw - 3" Craw - 4" I thought I was doing good with Craws and Menace, but once I got to restocking and shopping, I got a little overwhelmed. Size differences aside, there's an awful lot of similarities. I love Rage Tails and I will probably make room for each of these. But for those of you who use more than a couple different ones, I'd like your thoughts on uses, conditions, etc. I've tended to go with Craws as jig trailers and Menaces on swim jigs and bladed jigs. If I trig or rage rig, I'll typically use Structure Bugs, Hawgs, Lizards or worms. Which of the above do you carry and how do you fish them?

Bass Pro Return Policy
I'm sure they'll hook you up. But....I think that if it were me, I'd assume the liability of a $20 rod after the first season with it.

Favorite Plastic Craw
I've tried a variety. I'm now down to only two brands: Rage Tail & http://www.bizzbaits.com/product/killer-kraw/
