  1. FREAKING AWESOME ;D
  2. It is a Plecostamus. Its a very common aquarium fish. Someone released them/it into your river.
  3. I havent tried it, but i dont think it will work with braid. It will probably slip.
  4. What I have noticed is that hook eye diameter and line diameter need to be proportional. I bet if you tied that 10lb to a swivel, or dropshot hook instead of that big ole EWG, youll find that it retains it's strength.
  5. It wasnt a different body of water. It was still the California Delta.
  6. The King's English? I kinda figured we would be using U.S. English. Bollocks, I shall switch to the King's forthwith. ;D
  7. Cinching it properly can be tricky at first, but appears to be critical. Youll know you did it right when it cinches smoothly and the tag comes out perpendicular to the running line. I like it because there is very very little friction while cinching.
  8. I love it. Especially for flouro. Much stronger than it looks, small and compact, fast and easy.
  9. Yeah. Dude shreds.
  10. I guess there are a bunch of people that dont think that it should be allowed in the future, but not one of the participants contested it. I guess that before the tournament even started, he talked to the TD and actually showed them the system/spot and got the go ahead. I think it is kinda cool, personally.
  11. Trout eat snails all the time. If they have been gorging on them you can feel them in the trouts stomach. Give the next few bass you catch a good squeeze and see if you can feel them.
  12. You know that obnoxious " old age and treachery" cliche you like to throw out from time to time? Well, this time, you're right. I think it is awesome. http://flwserieswest.flwoutdoors.com/tournament.cfm?cid=11&did=3&t=news&tday=4&atype=6&tid=6500&tyear=2010&aid=151145
  13. Geez, as if soccer wasnt obnoxious enough as it is, lol.
  14. That is when I usually Trig the dropshot bait. I dont like using the small mosquito hooks when I have a jig or tube on the bottom as a weight. Hooksets are the reason for this. If you hit them hard enough to set the jig hook, you are usually going to miss them/ tear out the mosquito hook. If you do a reel set, you wont get them if they ate the jig. Step up to an EWG hook on the d-shot and you can hit them hard enough to set either hook. I usually only run the bubba shot when I am in desperation mode.
  15. If she was as capable as that chick is, and wanted nothing more in life, I would be all for it. I would not, however, fund the adventure ;D
  16. fourbizz replied to burleytog's topic in Everything Else
Because it has raisins and anchovies in it.
  17. Thanks all.Glad you like the pics, but they dont compare to the real life scene. Burley, the hat may be ugly, but I can take it off. You are stuck with that face... ;D The rod is a Sage Launch and b.lee that is out of the Leavitt Meadows trailhead, about 15 miles from Bridgeport.
  18. modified albright. best knot ever!
  19. Owner Mosquito sz1 for just about everything.
  20. do they dream of mauling zebras or ^
  21. I love every line that PLine makes. Except Flouroclear. Absolute garbage.
  22. I neglected to mention that the enemy combatant was taken immediately to be questioned. In bold violation of the Geneva Convention, his legs were removed one at a time. Then as he lay there, contemplating the gravity of what he had done to my fighting man, the lives he had ruined, I located my favorite interrogation tools, the Bic lighter and bug spray. He was given a chance to repent, which he of course spurned, and was summarily set ablaze with the help of the bug spray. I felt just in my dispensation of vengence. May they all burn.
