  2. What does Burley call a 6lber? Unicorn.
  3. I prefer silicone for 2 reasons. It doest decompose, and the colors are bettter. I think fine rubber looks better action wise though.
  4. #1 I'm Not Telling #2 I'm Not Telling #3 I'm Not Telling #4 I'm Not Telling #5 I'm Not Telling
  5. Also if you are burning a spinnerbait over deep enough water that the fish are coming straight up at it, and you are having a hard time hooking up, turn the trailer hook point down. You will lose all weedlessness this way though.
  6. So Catt, you are saying that the aquarium data is not at all useful because the fish have learned about their environment and become conditioned to it?
  7. They could just transplant a bunch of the fish from LBH's lake. ;D
  8. I either paint over existing, use a heat gun, or use Jasco Epoxy Stripper (extremely nasty sh!t!)
  9. Official State Record: 21lbs12ozs 1991. There have been at least a few fish larger than this landed though.
  10. Yeah, that guy sucks ;D
  11. I have never caught fish in very cold water doing any retrieve I would consider fast. This may have to do with the fact that when it gets cold here the vast majority of the fish are deeper than 30ft. Unless you consider ripping a spoon a fast retrieve. I definitely think that there are lures that shine in certain seasons. I dont throw a popper in a january rain storm. The only bait I own that I would consider a Craw Worm, the Yammy Baby Fat Craw, i use on jigs and shakey heads. I only fish one lizard and it is 13" long, I use it only in the late summer/fall. I dont either. If I can, I fish uphill. No, but that is when I have caught my biggest fish. Absolutely. No
  12. I get really tired of people that concern themselves with how others spend their money.
  13. When I lived in Colorado, we had a commercial account at a full service Phillips 66. Great people, went out of their way for me many times. My dad discovered pretty quick that you shouldnt have a V8 driving 16 year old on the account though ;D
  14. I gave it a pretty thorough run through when it came out. I felt like it had less abrasion resistance than CX and as much memory as CXX, so double suck. Seemed like it had good strength to diameter though, but I prefer CX Premium for a light duty copoly. 20, Halo is flouro. What they call a "co-flouride" at that.
  15. I have a better than awesome idea for them. Ive got the stuff to do it, next time youre at my place.
  16. Does anyone else get this? I get 4 copies a month since I have repeatedly taken advantage of the Smokeless USA booths at trade shows and races, for the free cans and hot girls of course. For what it is ( relentless tobacco commercial) there is a cool mix of articles. I dont exactly wait at the box every month for it to show up, but when I'm dropping the cosby kids off at the pool, it makes for decent reading ;D
  17. To be honest, thats what I thought they were starting to do when sacrament came out, still a good album, but right there on the sellout precipice. This makes me feel like they are gonna stay true. Also, can we really assume that all 11 or 12 tracks will sound just like this?
  18. OH man! Just saw this one. How can you, as a metal head, not LOVE this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ5ooa6pyWM&feature=channel_page
  19. They played "contractor" live for the first time at the show I was at. I liked it. Yes, super super thrashy. I think those songs both sound like their BTP stuff, which i also really like. Not as catchy as Sacrament, but thats fine with me, that album was just tooo over produced and I prefer the gritty sound. We'll see, I have it on pre-order.
  20. White trash mix goes incredibly well with cheap beer! Thanks burley, ive got enough dropshot weights for '09 now ;D
  21. Too long. Should be a highlight reel, not a full feature.
  22. LOL, I am of the opinion that in many, many cases, the japanese make baits that are strange for the sake of being strange. Curiosity is a great fishing lure marketing tool, lol.
  23. There will definitely be many suspended fish, but also many that are tight to bottom. These fish will eat spoons readily, even better when there is bait over their head. If you find fish under bait at a specific depth, that are difficult to get on the spoon or drop shot, move to structure and find the same depth. There will likely be fish and bait near bottom there that are easier to target. You would be hard pressed to find a reservoir in california that is less than 50ft low. Even small, under 500 acre lakes are 50 or more. Clear Lake and the delta are much less than that, but even clear lake, with an average depth of only 21ft is like 7 ft low. Pretty dang ugly out here water wise. I think one winter and spring of record breaking precipitation wouldnt get most of the larger lakes back to full pool. Some of our 10,000 plus acre reservoirs are at <35% capacity! And all of their ourflows have to be maintained at a certain level, even during drought, to sustain salmon and steelhead. Add to that the fact that this BS state sends most of northern california's water to Los Angeles and San Diego, and our lakes are in bad, bad shape.
  24. Too many opportunities for misconstrued tone. Also there is the element of the roasters. I would not mind getting roasted by friends, but if it was someone i knew nothing of, taking pot shots, i would not be a happy camper.
  25. so is it to get deeper like a bill , or is it to move water or both ??? i just never seen a trout-bodied swimbait like that before , that ac plug doesn't use it for diving more as water displacement , right ?? The Ac's were orignally designed as a diving lure. Also, the Z-Plug is a straight diving/trolling lure and has a similar plug cut design.
