  4. I went online to see what all the hoopla was about. Clicked on the Japan Tackle site. Read the description...Computer controlled? Do you happen to own a Ranger also. Good lord man that's spendy. Hopefully they will throw in a free hat...
  5. Best get cracken, and don't look back.
  6. That's the mounting bracket I have. Those are usually used if you don't have a flat transom or no room to attach directly to flat transom.
  7. Depends if you want a lot of action or a little action. They are both good at different times.

  10. I've been looking a those to set in front of may garage so I can work on my car or boat without having to worry about the weather. I'll probably get a sturdier one for sure.
  11. Which one do you have? I just looked at some, and they are reasonably priced. Cheaper than renting a garage space.
  12. @Bluebasser86, Do you even buy crankbaits any more?
  13. Was gonna say the same thing. Saw him use it on one of his shows.
  14. I have a boat cover, it's not the one for the boat so its kinda big, but it's perfect for my winter or non use storage. I use 2 plastic saw horses and a 2x4. I have he saw horses facing front to back and the 2x4 on top of that. The cover is the perfect size to fit over the raise support and the motor, then I just tie it off to the trailer with tarp ball bungees . I cover that with a tarp, and i use the tarp ball bungees that fit thru the holes and tie those off to the trailer also. So far it's held up great with the snow storm and wind storm we've had up here lately. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Sigman-6-in-Tarp-Ball-Bungee-25-Pack-BB06B/203217327
  15. I have a 2008 Ford Explorer V6 4x4, with the 3500lb towing package, it towed my 17.5 foot Stratos 176XT with full tank of gas without any problems, but then again the Explorer is bigger.
  16. Minn Kota quick release bracket for my Maxxum Pro 80 Minn Kota power plug and socket for the tm Minn Kota security lock kit for the Talon
  17. The Extra hardware does get pricey. I'm glad the previous owner shelled out the money to get the transom sandwhich brackets. I did order the security locks myself.
  18. Looks like in Maine you can still use led jigs, ned, halfmoon, shakey for example. but not in September... I guess maybe that's when the Loon population explodes maybe.
  19. Just an opinion. it wasn't what this post was a about, it was mentioned not just in this thread, but also from other sources . Some people say you should always store your boat inside or pay to store it inside during winter storage or storing it for a long time. Makes it sound like if you can't store your boat inside why bother owning one. I see plenty of expensive vessels winterized and stored outside, so I don't get it. A lot of folks don't have that option. makes it sound like it's the end of the world if stored outside. If it's well protected there shouldn't be an issue.
  20. I guess i'll sell my boat, no use of having one if you can't store it inside. See plenty of Yachts stored outside and winterized at marinas, so this in my opinion is bull. As long as you take steps to protecting it well it shouldn't be an issue. What if your garage isn't heated or cooled, then does it matter if it's inside or outside? I can understand maybe a tree falling on it, or you live in a not so savory neighborhood, but that's why you have insurance.
  21. Anybody heard of or used Sealskin brand boat covers?
  22. I won't ask you how you know @A-Jay Yeah, and your right you do need a stink rag with this stuff... I always forget to bring one... it sucks having dead craw scent up your nose, if you catch my drift.
