  1. If you have a fiberglass canoe this could be a way to go, Im in the same boat(canoe) as to what kind of setup I want, Im gonna research over the winter and by late winter I hope to have a nice setup in time for spring. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/features/warmwater/ww111708.php And like georgeyew posted there are always these, another which Im looking into... http://store.humminbird.com/category/271308/Fishin%27_Buddy_Series
  2. Cherry Max rivets and be done with it, a lil pricey but cheaper than the welding, if it came from the factory riveted then as long as you use the correct sizes, depth and hole size you'll be gold.
  3. I thought I put this is the original post but does anyone know where I can come across a owners/instruction manual for the Citica201E? Ive looked at Shimanos website and the only citica manuals I can find are the 200B,D models.... I bought my reel as a display model and got nuthin with it...

  5. Ahhh Delaware Valley Tackle(DVT) LOL No wonder i couldnt find the member in the search function!! Thanks for the info and guidance, Ill be sure to follow up with the flushing and re-oiling and keep the process to check wear in the back of my mind. As for the handle Ill def check into it.... Thanks guys!!
  6. Ive seen alot of threads about bearings, question is, When would you replace them? Is it something straight out of the box you should, or care to do? OR do you replace them when they become worn? If so how can you tell they are worn? Im completely new to them and this season I just picked up my first one, Shimano Citica 201E.If this is a beat on question,(Ive searched, came up with nuthin) if you could refer me to the thread Im more than happy to read! Thanks!!
  7. Indeed, def a misunderstood breed, sadly..Rescues seem to be the best though, my rents bought one from a breeder and he turned out to be an idiot, great family/person dog just dumb as rocks lol.... All three of mine were rescues, Hogg by far is a model pittie though, My wife is a special ed teacher and she takes him into the kids so they can read to him to get more comfortable and try to work through their disabilities, its worked out great so far... On top of everything else and being great dogs you have their personalities, hahaha, truly unique without a doubt. If you own one ya know what I mean!
  8. Good lookin pup ya got there though!!
  9. Got a red,Hogg, a boxer pitt mix,Lexie, then of course the black sheep a lab/shep mix.... Ive grown up with pittes and own two now, best dog anyone could ask for...
  10. Same here, nothin over the past week outta the ponds, think after this week Ill call it a season and start in on the rockfish and whitetails....
  11. Anyone been fishing this past week? Ive been out three times with a few TINY ones hooked. Not even a single pickerel! Im sure this cold weather moving in is affecting the bite somewhat, but from what Ive been gathering reading the diffrent post, the fall should be a great time to land some good fish. Any suggestions guys? Ive been using my go to T-rig mainly but I have thrown the other tools of the trade at em too.
  12. Without a doubt my second favorite fish to catch, I mean its kinda impossible not to while bass fishing but for their size the fight is so much fun. Caught my PB on the pocomoke last weekend, no weight or length but for sure the biggest Ive caught, such a stellar fight. It was also the first fish Ive caught on a spinnebait also....but not the last!!! Ive been hammering all summer with the t-rigg.
  13. I work a 4on-4off schedule 8am-8pm, so on those days thats my break. Other than thats at least a couple hours everyday on my weekend. If i get swapped to nights for a week or two, 8pm-8am, I still manage to make it for the morning bite...
  14. Welp, headed out this morning after i got off work to a Salisbury Park, a local spot where the water feeds into the Wicomico river. I wanted to practice skipping jigs and in the process I hooked into a massive snakehead, now Ive caught one there before, 18", not to much of a fight, but, this one today put up a hell of a fight, Ive never seen a fish jump so many times in one fight, unfourtunately for the dinner plate and my jig it broke the line right at the seacap... I know its invasive and not good for the other species but man it was a fun fight.
  15. Thanks Joe I do appreciate it, once Im off the graveyard shift and on my weekend Im gonna give it another shot. Ive read alot of tips on here so far, its a lil deeper water than Im used to fishing so I think my flaws are mainly associated with that. Good luck to ya up there!!
  16. Thanks basser! Ill have to keep an eye out for em, see if I can pull any tips or tricks outta em. I swear the bass on the ES are a different breed lol, Alot of the things I used back in PA dont work here, guess its all in learning new techniques for the region.
  17. Hey everyone, introducing myself here. A lil of my past, I grew up in Pittsburgh,PA, mainly fishing the 3 rivers when I was younger. As time passed I slowly got away from fishing. Girls, college and cars took precedent until I moved to the shore for work, while here I hooked up with a buddy from back in my area of PA and instantly the addiction was back. I have recently started buying new gear and a canoe with a motor to get a little more serious with fishing, it has been great reading up on all the techniques on here and all of yinz have been great with the wealth of knowledge yinz have included on this forum. As of now my favorite, and most successful, lure/rig is a T-rig weightless with any combo of colored soft plastic worms/tubes. I have recently upgraded to a Citica 200e on a Shimano Voltaeus 6'6" MH/F rod and hoping to start new techniques with the combo. Looking forward to reading much more and hopefully posting more input than questions haha
  18. Hello fellow MD anglers.... Anyone here fish the Eastern Shore, particulary Salisbury area. Lookin for any tips on fishing Johnsons pond, been there 6 times without any luck. I have had great times on the other numerous ponds ,lakes and rivers but the fish at Johnsons have eluded me so far....
