  1. That Curado has such a name, there will always be parts and service available for it.
  2. Hey! Are those braided line cutters?
  3. I had an absolutely stupid day on a blk/blue chatterbait I will never forget. Raining hard in green water and I had to hold the bait in the bottom of the boat to retie...
  4. Lews or the Curado, either is a good quality reel. If you can mount them both and feel em, I'd do that first. You may find something in one or the other that isn't right for you.
  5. I have a 7-2 jig/worm rod and his S-Glass crankin rod and like em both. As stated above, there are lighter rods out there but they aren't bad. $49 is pretty good.
  6. Greetings from the Sunsh....I mean, the Snowy State.
  7. That's tough for sure. I'm not sure why it is but I always do better with cloud cover and some wind. I think the lower pressure makes em bite better; high pressure situations are always tougher for me. And I think the wind helps bait be more active, therefore the predators are too. When the sun comes out and the wind lays down, that's when the spinning rods come out with a mojo rig and a drop shot...small worms.
  8. same here. I have bought maps from these guys, though, and really like them. http://www.fishinghotspots.com/
  9. Drove by the river that runs through town today and still socked in as far as you can see...shore to shore. That's about when I'll be out as well.
  10. I'm sorry to hear about your wife's accident. Time to play doctor. Hopefully she recovers quickly and you get your trip in.
  11. same here please...
  12. Thawed? We won't be open until the end of April by the looks of it.
  13. Very sorry to hear about your Dad. Prayers sent to help you and your family remain strong through a tough time.
  14. I want to start throwing more swim jigs and see myself throwing them in 1-5 ft of water. I want to be able, at times, to run it pretty slow so I was looking for a trailer that would give some lift; or at lest slow the fall some. Would a small swim bait provide this? I saw the Rage Menace and that looked good too. Or would they all be about the same? Thoughts?
  15. That Menace looks like a good swim jig trailer.
  16. I want to throw more swim jigs this year. Do you mind if I ask what color you were using? And nice fish! Hopefully they will be there on tournament day. Mine always go on vacation....
  17. The only thing prettier than the 798 in that last pic is the bare ground!
  18. I usually go 2 full arm lengths. I don't analyze that too much. I trim back as needed from nicks and just replace it when it gets about 4 ft long.
  19. I prefer the Blood knot on almost everything except on my microguide rod which I use an Albright. Great site to learn knots: http://www.animatedknots.com/knotlist.php?Categ=home&LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com
