  1. Thanks again for running this!
  2. I am from CT that’s a good fish for these waters.
  3. Great tournament! I switched Lowen in at the last minute and it paid off. It’s SO hard to win these games, it’s a lot of luck honestly.... good luck everyone! Winyah will be tough.
  4. Hartman screwed me but I’ve got 4 left! Sitting in third.
  5. Check out nebassin.com there’s a great kayak bass fishing series, I’ve been a part of it for 4 years. Also for upgrades or kayak gear the kayak centre in wickford is awesome.
  6. I agree with the argument about the purpose of pedal vs non pedal, but until you have fished a tournament in a non-pedal vs pedal you will not truly understand. Pedal yaks have a clear advantage over non-pedal yaks, you cover more water, have hands on your rod longer, and can make more casts. Simple as that. If your going to spend a lot of time on the water and plan on fishing tournaments, get a pedal drive. The extra money sucks but they hold value and can fetch good money on the used boat market. You will not be disappointed.
  7. Do yourself a favor and get a good vest. I recommend the NRS Chinook. It is amazing and has incredible storage. Good luck out there.
  8. Www.nebassin.com sign up with that club, I'm a part of it. Everyone is super friendly and there are tournaments on candy all year. Tight lines.
  9. I own the NRS chinook. It has all sorts of pockets and is around 100 bucks. It has awesome reviews. I would look at that.
  10. I fish from a feelfree moken 10 lite. I chose this platform mostly because it is lite and easy to move. I have added a crate with rod holder, made a pvc gopro pole, lowrance elite 4 dsi, hummingbird 12v battery, ram x mount for camera or phone. I paddle with a bending branches angler pro. I am able to stand despite not having a standing platform, but its sketchy at times I have a bass boat also, but theres nothign like stealthing up on some bass in a kayak. I absolutely Love kayak fishing!!! If there are any connecticut plastic navy out there hit me up.
  11. I just mounted mine through the rear scupper plug hole on my Feelfree by using the lowrance kit. It seemed to work great, it sits low enough where it wont get in the way (hopefully). Havent had it in water yet due to winter.
  12. I live approximately 30 minutes from Candy and dont fish it often for several reasons. It has been a difficult adjustment for me in deep water. I fish tons of other CT lakes, mostly in northwest ct, with great success, so i have not branched out yet. Candlewood is challenging and i hope to spend more time out there this year and learn some tricks. Good luck out there. Cant wait for ice out.
