  1. You must fish in muddy water where it doesn't matter as much. First off, never use vanish. with flurocarbon you have to use the Palomar knot, there is no other knot but this knot. and use the alberto knot to tie flurocarbon to braid. also when spooling flurocarbon onto a bait caster make sure you keep the spool label side down on the ground . dip it in a bucket of water periodically as you spool it. I give soft baits to people i meet out fishing. i tell them and give them whats working for me. if you think that by giving a tackle tip and showing someone what bait your using is going to ruin fishing at your spot your a selfish idiot.
  2. Megastrike black shakey head in 1/2 oz with a D-Bomb junebug. thank me later. ---- just annilhates them. i watched the megastrike guy at icast chuck baits on that stand up shakey head from 10 feet away into an aquarium and they always landed and stayed upright like they should.
  3. Really? its called google, you use it. google this phrase PA Boat registration.
  4. Missle baits D-bomb in Superbug color, my #1 go to bait.
  5. ive posted extensively in the past about my horrible experience with minn kota. I sold mine and got an XI-5 , i won't go into all the reasons why the XI5 is 10 times better but the threads are out there about this.
  6. Cause its freaking California and the problem with my former state is they don't realize or they don't venture far enough to see how anyone else in the rest of the country does things. $500 for a red light ticket? the next highest is NYC at $250. because in California the public employees make double the averaghe salary of private employees and people need jobs, and non-profits like to sue. After moving to back to the East coast , now in Stuart, Florida. Holy **** is CA backwards.
  7. fishing planet is free for ps4. Rapalla just released a game for ps4 but its less simulation and more acradey
  8. having lived in california for 10 years and im moving to florida. i would go in florida to The Bienville Plantation lakes. catch 40 a day and they're all big. other than that i would go to Lake Picachos in Mexico (its an hour west of el salto and way way better)
  9. Ive got the HDS 7 Gen 3 with the 3d structure scan. I have the 2 different transducers , it works great. not much more to say than that
  10. okay, I have a 2005 Bass Tracker 50HP 2 stroke. Here is the thing you most likely need to replace your fuel lines that go from the tank to engine itself. and you need to clean or clear out your fuel filter (make sure you put it on the right way). Engines prior to 2006 have gas lines that weren't designed to handle the amount of ethanol in our gas today. So what happens is that ethanol fuel gradually eats away the protective inner lining on those Fuel lines and sloughs off and ends up clogging your fuel filter. I know cause this exact problem happened to me. my advice is to replace those fuel lines, and clean and the fuel fliter.
  11. I managed a 7.5Lber out of the lagoon a year ago. fish the area by where the water comes out the pipe. there is lots of weeds and timber over there. and there is a big hole there too
  12. I have a 2005 Bass Tracker pt 175 with the 50hp 2 stroke. the same boat. i paid 6500 for it a few years ago (and i thought that was a steal.) ive just finished a complete overhaul of it . I replaced the flotation foam, the wood decking , and put new carpet in. I can tell you this. pay someone to do the carpet for you. trust me , im going to post a youtube video of the slideshow of the whole project (took me almost a year) soon.
  13. Ok, so i have the HDS 7 Gen 3 with the 3d structure scan transducer and the 3d structure scan box . Here is the problem and solution. If you;re running the structure scan and the high chirp downvision , Im gonna assume you have the structure scan transducer on 455 kHZ frequency, while running the 83/200 kHz ducer on a 200khZ with high chirp (which does bump up the signal even more than 200kHZ. The frequencies aren't far enough apart to get good frequency separation , and instead you get muddy noise. just like when i produce a song , if i take the vocals , drums, and instruments and set each of their frequencies within a close range the song is gonna sound like muddy brown noise. Solution if you must run both , run the structure scan on 800kHZ and the 2d chirp as normal. thats what works for me. Also when lowrance or other companies say in their ads "...... at the same time" doesn't equal ="simultaneously"
  14. Edallen , a First off, these aint hds 7 generation anything, these are i think hook screenshots. The biggest issue i see here is that you are running your sidescan at 40 feet range in 120 feet of water (the bottom picture). You don't seem to get it, maybe you don't have all the answers yet chief.
  15. The answer above makes no sense to me.
  16. one of the reasons i sold my ipilot and got the XI5
  17. the noise matters when you're fishing southern california clear water lakes that are very deep and where sound carries a long distance.
  18. DO NOT USE this stuff inside the water pump itself, IE the rubber star thingy. oil and water do not mix, everything else fine. i recommend using dish soap for inside the pump and housing. on another note when i first got my tracker 2005 use with a 50hp 2 stroke mercury . i ran that motor about 45 to 60 days without any water peeing out the hole (because it was clogged and it was my first boat) and my motor was fine, no damage, no overheating. so there is that if you start freaking out.
  19. Look , i just did this exact process. FIrst you want to use the 2 part marine foam. it comes in 2 parts you mix the two then pour. 2nd off you use untreated marine grade plywood. then you seal it with thompson's water seal about 3 or 4 coats.
  20. I also have to add that my terrova was broken in so many places after 6 months . (note i did use my boat every day for 6 months though). I ju
  21. take a drive to lake casitas
  22. IM the one who sold my Terrova because of the horrible noise it made. bought the XI5 and so much quieter and so much less movement to keep it locked in place. which it does a much better job of. plus if i want to move my spot lock all i have to do is press a direction on my remote and it moves the spotlock 5 feet in that direction. after iCast 2015 when i talked to the minn kota people and even they admitted the board of directors made comments about the noise, but they didn't do anything to fix it.
  23. I remember the alberto like this. Front to back , over and attack, 5 loops down and 5 loops back, back to front
  24. ALBERTO KNOT !!! ALBERTO KNOT !!!! ALBERTO KNOT!!!!! look it up and never worry again
