What's the craziest thing you've found in a bass?
My uncle broke off in a laydown to which I immediately threw in the exact same spot. The result, the same fish with my uncles tube still in its mouth.

Tubes in clear water
You can achieve this with a texas rigged tube as well. If you nose hook like normal and then bury the hook on the outside of the tube, it will spiral/flutter down. I love this but am learning quickly why I get major line twist every time I fish a tube!

Hello From Peoria IL.
I used to live in Macomb and loved going to Banner Marsh. The scenery there was amazing! The fishing was not that great in the heat of the Midwest summer though!

3D Printing
I was thinking of creating 3 cavities inside the bait and if needed, drill a hole and add epoxy to get the desired balance. I just wasn't sure if I had to have a wire going through the bait to both hooks or if the plastic (pla in my case) is strong enough for a screw attachment.

3D Printing
It was a little overwhelming at first. This was mostly due to my inability to efficiently measure in metric. However, once I started playing around, it became quite simple. I have already attempted making worm molds, but again, my metric measurements got me. This mount is spot on though so I must be getting better at the measurement thing. I am interested in making a squarebill or two but am curious about how to attach the hooks and how to measure the bill exactly.

3D Printing
I was wondering if any of you have a 3D printer that you have used for fishing related items? I know that BioSpawn used 3d printing to create molds for their baits. My school has a 3D printer and I was given the okay to use it this year for anything I want. My goal is to start a tech club or use it in my math class. I needed another mount on the bow for my Helix 5 so I played around and created one that I liked. The mounting is not standard but I will mount it to the floor anyway. I included the .stl file if anyone wants to play with it for their own needs. Would love to see examples if you have created things. This is a cool world and the creativity of it is limitless, for the most part. humminbird_helix_5_mount.stl

How many times have you lost a brand new lure first cast?
I bought my first, and only, Cavitron 2 weeks ago. I tied it on and dressed her up in a sleek trailer. I sent her flying only to see her never return. Knot must have let go. Man did she go flying. Now I am out the $7, but most importantly still haven't had a chance to try one out. FML

The Rams are moving to Los Angeles
Wasn't there a big issue with the venue in St. Louis though? I thought they had a plethora of issues related to the turf and sidelines that was refused to fix. Plus, baseball is king there with hockey doing well also.

Huk Shirts?
I have a Huk sweatshirt and absolutely love it. I wore in last weekend when it was in the 40s and I was very comfortable. I started with in this summer in the mornings and sometimes forgot I was still wearing it when it was warm out. It was the best clothing investment next to my North Face hiking pants that dry in 10 minutes.

When To Throw Chrome Crankbaits
My most productive bait this summer was a sexy shad pattern with a chrome belly. Other than black back chartreuse, it is all I throw any more in cranks.

Baits For 20-40' With Strong Current
This is on Belews Lake in North Carolina. It is a power plant lake and the discharge is very deep.

Baits For 20-40' With Strong Current
I think that is what is happening as the bottom is 50'. My problem is trying to crank down to 20' or drop shotting/jigging and losing control of the bait in the current. It never had time to get to the "zone" between the two moving waters. Just curious as I like trying new things and this is frustrating because I can't figure it out on my own.

Baits For 20-40' With Strong Current
I was at a power plant lake that had a hot water discharge and my graph went crazy with fish. I didn't have much luck anywhere else on the water so I figured I would try and learn some more about current and deep water.

Baits For 20-40' With Strong Current
What would you use for strong current that is deep with bass staged around 20-40' of water? I can pound the banks and shallows but deep is a loss to me.
