Yup, another example is a Shimano CTE200GT @ 5:1 = about 20" per turn, add in a aftermarket longer handle if needed and you can run deep cranks easier as well.. Makes the day much more enjoyable, believe me, lol

Consider a 5:1 gear set if you do it much. It will make a big difference.. Ripping rattle baits is just tough work though.

Yup, I lived in San Diego for 4 years.. I liked it pretty well.. I was far too busy to hunt or fish. Indiana has great whitetail & turkey hunting, if you really know what your doing. Florida is my pick! Great fishing, both salt & fresh. Great turkey hunting, scuba, a person can get to anywhere in the state in less than a days drive. Great gun laws, allows "open" carry if you really must! ( not for me ) lots of beachs & beautiful women. Yea, that's my choice..

Most folks have a favorite style of fishing, e.g. Crankbait, Texas rig soft plastic worm, spinnerbait Depending on what excites you or motivates you more. That would be a start.. Then of course you must consider the water you fish,e.g. Open water impoundments, farm pond, river systems, creeks. That should further allow you a more realistic ideal of what will be usable to you... Then get you a few baits & enjoy!
