Congratulations, as far as reviews, there's almost always good & bad ones. I agree with the guys above about having a positive outlook on the rod & reel, if it proves itself one way or the other, it will be your opinion. My opinion is, I think quantum makes a very good rod, as far as reels.. I couldn't say. Tight lines!

Hmm, I know it won't live long, but honestly, I will throw them ( any wood bait ) with a fracture and never stress about it. I usually destroy them first before they even get close to being water logged. But, that's just me. I agree though, if one wants to do a proper repair, there are better methods. Of course, the bait would likley be fine with out a repair.

The paint can be touched up, ( sealed ) you don't need a 2 part epoxy or anything heavy.. You just want to fill that cracked paint in a bit with a clear coat.. Fingernail polish is cheap & effective. It will prevent the balsa from soaking in moisture.

Well.. Just use the hook size for the plastic bait in question.. It doesn't need to be be a exact sizing so to speak, mustad & owner, eagle claw & others have sizing charts online if that helps. I'm sure Gammy does too..

The NFL needs to rule & get it over with IMO, clearly something occurred. It's sorta a moot point at this stage.. I watched the game, The pats actually played better and scored better with the properly inflated footballs in the 2nd half.. I'm not sure on the ethics, but there are far worse issues the nfl could & should focus on..

Yea, my local BPS doesn't have them either ( TRD ) so you might need to order them. MB nailed it.. It's a softer formula than the original elaztech..& the proper size.
