  1. I make a lot of pics with my gopro it has a picture taking feature and I love it!
  2. I love chatterbaits. I usually throw the z-man ones but I just recently got the Strike King rage blade what looks like a chatterbait but I havent used it yet.
  3. Awesome!! I have never thought of this before and the theory behind it is also brilliant. Thanks for the awesome tip!
  4. Me too! You can get stuff for cheap and get to try different baits!
  5. I agree on the #20 flouro. I am not a braid guy. I have one spinning rod with braid and have only used braid on my jig rod once. I do fine in tournaments on flouro but most guys use braid. If I was going to use braid and when i have used it i go with #50 give or take depending on cover.
  6. Thanks! It really helps hearing your feedback.
  7. Thanks man! It sounded kinda different when my buddy was writing it up. I was certainly going to take that out. I think if they want to sponsor me they should have the freedom of however they want. Thanks again!!
  8. I am fishing the TBF state championship in May and I need major help. I have never fished their before and I always fish hartwell. Any similarities or differences? I Am going in May. What would they be doing in May? Its May 15-17 or something like that. So any help?
  9. Thanks a lot! Really helps! I need to slow down a bit on the sponsorship thing. I got help from a buddy of mine on this one. My mom is gonna help me on another. I really appreciate the help. I was in such a hurry that I misspelled a lot. Thanks really helps a young angler who is chasing a dream but im getting ahead of myself.
  10. Is this a good letter? I am still tweaking a little and gonna get my mom to help but is this a good start? I got the format from another high school angler I know. He setup the levels and stuff. The letter is pasted below: (Date) (Sponsor Name) (Address) (City), (State, Zip) Dear (Name of the person), My name is, and I am a Middle School Bass Angler. I fish on my schools team, which is X Middle School Bass Fishing Team. This is my first year fishing this team and this is the teams first year. I helped establish my team. I am from Greenville,SC I fish almost weekly on Lake Hartwell where my boat is in the water. I own a 1986 Glasstream 1500 Hydra Bass. This boat is mine and I fish alone and sometimes with a friend. I have been fishing since I was 18 months old. I come from a family of fishermen particuraly guides. I fish tournaments within my club and my schools upcoming tournaments. I will be attending the TBF SC Jr. Angler State Championship at Lake Murray. Here I will see about 50+ fans from all over the country. If you dont know, fishing is an expensive sport even as a weekend angler. That is why I come to you. I would like to request sponsorship from (Company Name). I will accept & would appreciate your genorosity for any amount of money or your products. There are several different oppurtunities: - Any amount of donation to help me. Trust me anything helps. This will get you a 3"x3" - Any of your products to help me bring the big ones in and win those tournaments!! -$20 donation. This will help me with gas, tackle and will get you a 5"x5'' logo on my jersey or sticker on my boat. -$50 donation. This will also help me with gas, tackle and this will get you a 10''x10'' logo on my jersey or sticker on my boat. -$100 donation. This will buy me a full tank of gas, tackle or will get me entry into a tournament. this will get you a big logo as my leading sponsor (the biggest on my jersey). -$250 donation. This will buy about 2 1/2 tanks of gas, tackle, tournament entry or new gear for fishing. This will also get you a leading sponsorship position. Now you are probably wondering "How will this benefit me?". Thats simple! As I said before I see over 50 possibly even 100 fishermen at my tournaments. I often talk with anglers about how I brought in the fish what products I reccomend and even who my sponsors are. Depending on what level of sponsorship you will be on my jersey and even be metioned in my interviews after tournaments. You will also be mentioned on my Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other social medias. I promote alot of products on my YouTube mostly but also on Twitter and Instagram. You will be mentioned in my videos on my GoPro. I will be able to be at any seminars or anything local to me to speak about your company. I am also an active member of one of the largest fishing forums. Your company will also be talked about at club meetings and conversations with anglers of all skill set! I would like for all sponsors to be in contact with my by February 1st. I will be able to order my jersey any sponsors after that are not guarnteed a spot on my jersey but will be appreciated. Lastly, Thank you for reading my letter. I truly appreciate your time and thanks for looking over my letter! Respectfully,
  11. I was a natural I started fishing at 18 months and it was on since then. My Great Grandparents own a fishing/boating store, My grandfather was a guide, and my uncle is a guide. My grandparents lived at the lake so I fished nearly every weekend. My family is all striper fishermen. Summer of 2013 my love for bass fishing started. I still love returning back to my roots of striper fishing and striper fishing will probably always be my favorite even when I am a pro bass fishermen. Fishing is all I ever want to do. I dont play basketball or football I fish! I feel like its what I was meant to do.
  12. For me it is a football head jig. I prefer Greenfish Tackle Craw-ball jig in hot sauce 3/8oz
  13. Father in law as a fishing buddy? Never heard that before
  14. I got a new rod and reel for christmas. What should I put on my new Abu Garcia Veritas 6'9" rod paired with a Abu Garcia Pro Max 7:1.1 GR?
  15. I got a lot! Very blessed! Abu Garcia Veritas 6' 9" Medium Heavy Abu Garcia Pro Max Motor Guide Trolling motor Lowrance x-15 GoPro Hero 3 Salt Armour Buff My Costa sunglasses I lost and my grandmother found for me. Not really a present but... Academy Cards Tons of clothes for fishing and a nice jacket for fishing in the cold. Very blessed to get great gifts and to have a wonderful family.
  16. I love bucktails. I get them handtied but I sometimes get them at cabelas or BPS. I catch striper and largemouth all winter long.
  17. Charlie T's shut down. It was a great restaurant I use to ride the old pontoon over there in the summer. Supposedly Mr. T had a problem with money. Just what i hear. It has changed to a lot of different things I think its currently a Sushi place.
  18. Thanks for calling me out. Just Kidding. It is auto-correct on my computer is why it happens to me.
  19. Same. I really like the Havoc stuff particularly the soft plastics jerk bait "The Jerk" in Disco Shad color.
  20. I have been on them too in Lake Hartwell. They are right behind my house so I hit the lake everyday. My uncle is a guide so I catch them year round helping him on his boat in the summer. I catch them mostly on bucktails. Yall might want to give that a try. I have been catching lots of them.
  21. I am fishing the TBF tourney May 15-17 or whenever. I started my middle school team so we will be there. I dont know if thats the same one as you but thats the one i will be at.
  22. I am very guilty of making alot of noise. I slam the hatches and stomp the boat when I miss fish or they break off. I often act before thinking not only in fishing but everywhere. When I am flipping docks I sometimes hit the side and often wonder if that effects the fish. Once i was fishing around a dock and I was singing and then I hit the dock several times with my jig. When I got to the other side of the dock there sat an angry elderly woman tanning that I couldnt see because a boat in the way.
  23. I am 14 as well but I have a boat. I would help but I am from South Carolina. I started a club at my school and we fish tournaments and we have volunteers from the community to offer in boats and to drive us around. My dad dosent like tournaments but i am trying to get him to fish with me. My boat was my grandfathers but he passed away and it was handed down to me. I have a special permit from boatus.com so i can fish alone on my boat. If you can find a boat this is a good start I guess. The club is probably the best way to go.
  24. Never actually done this myself but I started the club at my middle school here is my answers. 1. You have no real certain amount of time spent of the water. I would just spend as much time needed to practice for tournaments and of course just fish for fun with your club. i would probably got 2-4 a month for just fishing for fun. 2. If I was on a college team and I plan to be on one in the future I would like to fish out of a bass boat. the way that goes is you have to have people buy boats for your team or have your school buy them. My local schools (I have 2 in the area) have a bass boat wrapped in the colleges sponsors and logos and all that stuff. 3. If I was in the club i would personally want to meet year round but my college around here stop for the whole winter. (I am in SC so it dosent snow or ice up alot here so i dont know why?) I would like to meet year round to just talk about fishing and learn. 4. You can fish tournaments throughout the school but you should get on the Cabelas Collegiate Tour and fish on it. If you do fish tournaments throughout the club you should award them with trophys and stuff too.
