  5. Do you have any tips for a high school angler? I am trying to start a club next year. any tips?
  6. I was standing on my dock and Im catching bluegill as soon as I drop the bait in. Then they stop biting and move away fast as lightning. Then, I see this HUGE bass come from under the dock. I threw everything at it. I have only saw it 3 times but it dosen't bite anything. No kidding, that thing was 20+ lbs It was big or bigger than the legendary "Dotty".
  7. I mostly fish by myself but I enjoy fishing with my buddy. We challenge each other, get skunked together, catch our PB together. I would give anything to fish with my grandfather who passed away in 2006. I fish out of his old bass boat and I cant help but think of him everytime I go out in my boat.
  8. Like others have said, find the baitfish. I grew up chasing stripers because my uncle and grandfather were guides. My uncle still is a guide and helps me find these fish. The best advice I can give you is find them schooling. Once you find them throw jerkbaits, flukes, sammy spooks, and lipless cranks. Have a good set of binoculars to locate fish schooling on the surface and follow the baitfish.
  9. My uncle is a guide and my grandpas was a guide and he has been guiding since he was 16 and he never let someone go for free because they didn't catch anything. Say he's bad or whatever but I think it's fair.
  10. I follow a guy on Instagram who does this all the time. Sometimes even hangs it out of the water.
  11. I do this a lot!! I find myself usually doing this in the winter when I can't fish.
  12. Here is a pic of the boat pulled out.
  13. I saw them all day while fishing and riding my jet ski. They went to a popular island on the lake called "party island" where every one of course party's! It was so sad watching the accident happen and I myself and the other neighbors helped these folks searched along with the Game Warden and diving teams. It was devastating when they pulled the child out. I watched them retrieve the sunken boat this morning I will post a pic later. A sad day for my neighbors. It really hits home when it's in your cove and you see it happen.
  14. Read hete http://m.wyff4.com/news/infant-missing-after-incident-on-lake-hartwell/27819004 I watched this all happen very sad. My favorite fishing spot. Tragic story.
  15. Those are nice but I don't think a paint scheme has nothing to do with it. I think reaction theory is true.
  16. I have always used dog food. The rational dog food it's in a green bag at ingles. Haven't carp fished in awhile. I have used corn and it's good too. I usually throw some corn or dog foo out on the surface and let it sit and throw my bait out into the pile.
  17. Very lucky boy at the hometown track. All he had was a black eye! Came out smiling!
  18. Where you from? Greenville/Upstate area?
  19. Best of luck to you!!! I hope you catch it! Huddleston is a goid idea since it chased that small bass!! Keep at it and achieve your goal!
  20. Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia.
  21. I'm with WIGuide. I waited 1 year and 3 months before I got my boat fixed and water ready. Patience was key. Good tip is to think over your decision and check out every inch of the boat and even try to test drive it. Good luck!!
  22. Find bass in the mornings hitting topwater. I catch them in flukes in the day.
