Not sure if either account counts as the other fish weren't hooked, but my friend caught a bass once that had a smaller bass in it's mouth, and inside the smaller basses mouth was a minnow. Technically a double since he caught the second bass, but like I said it wasn't hooked. I had a double on a single hook as well as I hooked into a smallmouth and while I was reeling it in a musky attacked it. Managed to get them both into the boat eventually. I got a little bit of sketchy video with my phone. I didn't think I had a chance to get it in the boat, so I pulled my phone out, but I was busy watching what was going on and not on where to point my phone so I kind of sucks. I still don't think it was as impressive as yours since the one was just extra hungry haha.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, but being that that's the only thing keeping me afloat It's worth the cost. I'm sure you could push it longer if you wanted, but that's your choice.

I hear ya, and It's appreciated that you take care of those fish. I usually drop mine in the livewell after I unhook it to let it recoup while I get everything set up. That way I can pull it out of the livewell, bump the button to take a few quick pictures and then back into the water they go. And hey you'll just have to get pics of them on the scale next time when they've put on a little more weight!

No, the cartridges themselves are similar, but that's not where the bulk of the cost is. You're paying for the automatic trigger part of the vest that attaches to the CO2 cartridge. It all comes off the vest and a new one goes in it's place to ensure automatic operation.

That's incredible, heck what I'd give to just catch one of those! Unfortunately our bass up here don't get anywhere near that size. A quick tip for the pics though, look into the self timer mode on your camera app. You can lean it against something and push the button to take the picture, and I think with I phone your options are 3 second delay and 10 second delay. That should give you enough time to get everything in the shot. On my boat I've got the older style tempress seat in the back, and if I fold it down and raise my pedistal, I can lean my phone against the folded back and it takes a decent picture. It's a lot cheaper than a selfie stick haha.

I want to say the triggering mechanism is good for 3 or 4 years and then that will have to be replaced. It's $60-$80 i think which is about twice the cost of a normal auto inflate rearming kit, but again there's no accidental discharges so you aren't losing money there.

It definitely happens to me no matter how much I fish. There's always a thrill involved with catching a big one, and if that doesn't get you going, you might as well stop fishing.

I currently don't wear one, but I'm planning on trying it out soon.

If your livewell is like my friends 2005 it just has a pipe you put in the drain and the livewell fills up to the top of that and drains. (At least that's what I remember It's been a while since I fished with him). The 4th switch is most likely an accessory switch. It's there so you can turn on and off the power to a locator or something like that. If it's a momentary on and it pops back to off when you let go it's for the horn. I don't remember off hand if they used an actual toggle switch for those or just the small push button.

I clean mine out a few times a summer, or as needed. If you catch them when they're on a crawfish bite there's crawfish pieces all over the place. It really doesn't take much to keep them clean, just a good wipe down with some paper towels and water. Mine aren't perfectly white, but that doesn't bother me.

Rods that are properly taken care of will last a very long time. If there is a breakage within the first few fish it's usually caused due to manufacturer defect or damage sustained during transport, after that it's generally user error. Not knowing under what circumstances yours broke I can't say which it is, but I can vouch that the Mojo Series are good sticks. I just picked up a 6'8" MH/F about a month ago that has put over 100 fish in the boat without issue. St. Croix has you covered with their great customer service. How did it end up breaking and where?

You'll be glad you did. I fish tournaments and I don't know how many times I've weighed fish in wearing mine not because I was trying to keep it on display, but rather because I forgot I had it on. Definitely a wise decision on your part!

Definitely a mistake of some sort. They do happen though. Just look at the Quantum line of rods developed for the Linders before they switched to St. Croix. They were marketed as "technique specific" rods....none of them listed a technique though so figure that one out.

It was your lucky day...some other guy got stuck with it! The only time I see it being worth it is if everything on the boat (motor, tm, locators, etc etc far out-valued the asking price) That way if repairs are too much it's still worth it to strip it and get my money back.

Put it on craigslist. The reason you aren't seeing them on there aren't because people don't sell them on there, It's just not something that you sell super often. People either get a new one because their old one is shot, or because they upgraded. The later instance is usually the only time you'll see them listed so it's not as common. You could also try selling it on facebook, or get a hold of someone in a bass club and see if any of their members are interested.

Having fished out of small v-hulls, john boats, and sundolphin 110 (back when they were bass hounds), the sun dolphin gives you a lot more along the lines of stability. They have a 54" beam and their side go pretty close to straight down which gives you almost the same measurement for the bottom. The one down side to the smaller boat is there is less room to store stuff. That's ultimately what lead me to upgrade as I had just outgrown it, but without a gas outboard you'll gain a spot to put things where the tank would be, and you can always keep the plug in the livewell and use that as a small storage as well. As far as fishing two larger men in them, I'm 6'6" and my dad is 6'5" it was a little cramped, and the boat wouldn't plane out with my 8 horse, but the boat didn't seem overloaded. Since the design of the boat hasn't changed since the mid 90's when it came out, I don't see why any of them would be any different. As far as the issues with the boat you are looking at, it doesn't seem like enough to walk away from yet. I'm not sure what Illi titling procedure is, or which state you live in. I do however know how WI registration works, and boats under 16 feet do not get a title. The registration card acts as a title, and as long as it's been signed by whoever's name is on the card that's the release. I would ask the seller if he has the registration card, or for him to get the title transferred to his name and then you can buy it from him. Wisconsin also doesn't title their trailers, either way if you need it done you'd have to take the same steps. Don't think you're going to put this boat on the roof...they aren't the lightest and to flip it and put it on the roof all the time would be an absolute pain. No matter which route you go, getting a boat and getting on the water is a great thing. I wish you the best and hope you find what you're looking for!

6' MH/F Shimano Jimmy Houston Signature Series rod with a Johnny Morris Signature series reel. I had it spooled up with 12 lb Trilene XT and I was slinging a 3/8oz. Terminator Super Stainless spinnerbait with double colorado blades. It was in their bleeding bait series so it had a small built in red trailer. - PB 21 3/4" 6.5 lb Largemouth Same setup as above PB, but this time it was a 3/8 oz Terminator T-1 in clown color. PB 20 3/4" 5 lb smallie This one tied for my PB. I caught it using my St. Croix LTB 6'10" ML/XF Dropshot rod paired with an Abu Premier 30. I was using 20 lb power pro run to a 6 lb Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon leader. VMC 2/0 Spinshot hook that held a 4" Berkley Bottom Hopper Jr. This one was just a hair shorter at 20 1/2" but weighed in at 5lbs even again.

I won't cancel because of win unless it's bordering on the edge of insanity. If I fished the great lakes, absolutely. The wind can make it a pain to fish, but it's usually worth fighting with it.

If it looked more like the fish on the bottom, then chances are it's a shad of some sort. When they actually move back has a lot of variables, but as the water starts to cool, start at the opening of pockets or creek and work your way back to find them.
