Braid Or Flurocarbon? Which Is The Most Sensitive?
I use braid w/ fluoro leaders for everything and I've always been happy with the sensitivity on a semi slack line. However, I might try some "good" fluoro and see what I'm missing. I tried some cheap fluoro a few years ago and had a terrible experience with memory and backlashes.

Scorpion Xt Owners
I just got my new xt 1001. How many of you upgraded the spool bearings? Was it beneficial? How about the spool? I do have a curado 51e with abec 7 ceramic hybrids, but was thinking about trying hedgehogs for the xt.

Ordering From Japan
Thanks for the tip. I checked usps and it says they tried to deliver it 2 days ago. Funny thing is they didn't leave me any kind of notice. I'm going to pick it up today

Ever Get Such A Bad Bird Nest That You End Up Cutting It Out?
When I first started using a baitcaster I had cheap fluoro on it and had to cut it out. Since I switched to braid I've always been able to pick them out. One time I had a pretty bad one casting out a pop r and much to my suprise while I was in the middle of picking it out a largemouth jumped clear out of the water and engulfed the pop r like a great white shark attacks a seal. It was a thing of beauty. It took me a few minutes to pick backlash out and in the meantime this bass is swimming all over the place. That was my most memorable backlash.

Reel Tech Question
Thanks guys, I did it. I had to use tweezers for the clip on the drive shaft because it didn't have any gaps. I didn't use a bag for this one because I couldn't get the angle I needed and I got a sick feeling in stomach when it flew off ! Fortunately after 10 minutes of looking with a flashlight I found it...thank God. I replaced the bushings with bearings and can honestly say this was the best bang for the buck upgrade ($8). The retrieve is much smoother now.

Reel Tech Question
Great tips. I see the gaps in the clip but the c- clip for the drive shaft doesn't seem to have any. The reel is the t3 ballistic.
-
Reel Tech Question
Is there a trick to removing c-clips? I have my t3 ballistic apart to replace some bushings with bearings and I'm stuck at these darn clips.

Japan Lure Shop Legit?
I'm not sure if this is a good thing for me either. Just ordered a scorpion xt. I'm standing on the precipice of a very slipper slope.

Japan Lure Shop Legit?
Anyone order from them? It looks like they only accept pay pal which makes me suspicious.

Side To Side Play On Reel Handle.
I had a similar issue once and apparently when I reassembled the reel I didn't tighten the drag star enough before installing the handle.

Wright & Mcgill Skeet Reese Honeycomb Rod
I had the senko/shakey head rod. IMO it felt dead in my hands so I sold it.

What Do I Need For Bluefish

T3 Ballistic Spool Upgrade
Thanks. Would upgrading the bearings in this reel make noticable difference?
-
T3 Ballistic Spool Upgrade
What will upgrading the spool do for a t3 ballistic? What is the difference between the 1016 and sv1000 spool?

Good Shakeyhead Rod/reel

Bent Guide
How much should it cost to wrap a guide that I already have?
-
Bent Guide
I always take care of my rods, but I noticed yesterday that one of my guides is bent like someone stepped on it. I bent it back with my fingers and fished with it and it was fine, but the one foot is crimped up. It's one of my favorite omens. I wish it was the tip because it's an easy fix, but I don't how to do wraps and stuff. The issue seems totally aesthetic. I don't know of any rod builders in the area. What would you do?
