Feeling The Line?
Palming the reel and feeling the line doesn't feel comfortable to me either. I can feel everything through the rod...that's why I spent good money on my bottom contact rods.

"fancy man fish gansta clothes and flat brimmed cap" lol...I laughed for 10 minutes at this one.

Chatterbaits
I want to throw chatterbaits this year. I did a little last year, but no luck. What type of conditions should I use and how? Which trailers are the most effective? Should I use a mh/fast rod? Thanks.

Best Way To Fish Lipless Crankbaits??
The red eye shad is one of my favorite confidence baits. Like cjv said ripping through or over grass this one of the best presentations. I also like to make a long cast and let it fall, lift the rod and reel in slack...yo yo. The lipless is really one of the most versatile cranks.

Stupid Question
Good question. I've also wondered about this.

Which Do You Prefer?
I have both, but prefer the one pieces. I only use the two pieces if I have to due to travel constraints. However, I'm not sure if the one pieces are more sensitive. For me it's psychological to prefer them. Do you guys truly think they fish better?

Lews Tournament Pro Vs Tournament Speed Spool
Besides being lighter, what advantages does the tp have over the tss? Does it cast better or handle lighter lures better?
-
Lew's Speed Spool Vs Lews Tournament
I have both the speed spool and tournament speed spool. The main difference for me is the dual breaks. They both cast great. If you want the option of centrifugal breaks, clicking tension knob and the extra 4lb of drag go for it. You can probably find it for about $125.

Spinning Rod Question
I prefer the 7' and I think this would be a fantastic combo.

Best Length Dropshot Rod
I use a 6'10". The longer rod will cast further, pick up more line and provide more cushion to play the fish.

Rod Rating Vs Weights Used

Is The Duckett Ghost Worth The Money?
I had a spinning rod with chrome inserts and the tip grooved after 1 season using braid.

Rod Rating Vs Weights Used
I know, but what is the purpose of the lure rating on the rod if it isn't accurate?
-
Rod Rating Vs Weights Used
Why do so many of us use such powerful rods for jigs and t-rigs? I have a dx 743 and I read guys say they wouldn't use anything over 1/4oz on it yet the lure rating is 1/4-3/4. For 1/2 oz people recommend 745? What's the purpose of the lure rating on the rod?

Super Spook Rod
What power and action rod should I use for a super spook (5" and 7/8oz.)?

Daiwa T3 Ballistic
Line is probably dug in as others have said. My t-3b casts braid wonderfully. It is now my favorite reel.

What Are The Advantages Of Fluoro Over Mono ?
What they said.

Weighted Soft Plastic Setup
I use 30lb pp with 12lb fluoro leader on almost all of my bait casters and I don't have any problems. When the occasional back lash occurs, I can pick them out easily. I used straight fluoro when I first started and the backlashes were horrible to get out.

Braid With Fluorcarbon Leader Or Straight Fluorcarbon?
Agreed, I use light braid w/ leader on spinning set ups.

Real Magic
Anyone use real magic as a line conditioner? How does it compare to kvd line conditioner?

Beginner Looking For Your Thoughts
I have an MG and an SX. Both are great reels, but I prefer the MG out of the two. There are plenty of good options in that price range. I also like bps pro qualifier which is a little cheaper, but has dual breaks. Tackle warehouse has the daiwa t-3 ballistic for $109 and I really like it too. If you do some searching you could get a lews tournament speed spool in your price range which is an upgrade over the MG.

What Pound Test?
