  1. That picture is now my desktop background. Thanks!
  2. Regular old scissors. Snips 60 lb braid with ease. But regardless of what you use, the line needs to be taught.
  3. Put a little piece in a glass of water. Red Label should slowly sink, and the XL should suspend or slowly rise.
  4. I've caught quite a few fish in water temperatures of 54°- 58° on poppers. Usually on warm days in very shallow water.
  5. I literally have enough to last 100 people's lifetimes.
  6. Only brought my pup out once with me, but she seemed to love it. She napped the whole time except for when I would bring fish in the boat. She is actually scared of live fish, but makes an awesome fishing buddy. Plan on bringing her out a lot more this year as I will have more space in my craft.
  7. I've seen a few pictures of your dog on here now, and I'm always amazed how much he looks like my dog haha
  8. Only thing I do is spread out the weed guard so it's not as stiff. But that certainly isnt necessary. They are my favorite jig. Siebert brush jigs are the jigs I go with 90% of the time.
  9. Heddon Torpedo.
  10. Finally! I've been waiting all winter for fishing and baseball to start. It's great how they start around the same time here in the northeast. My Braves are going to be terrible, but it's to be expected as long as they are in rebuild mode. My fantasy drafts are all complete, let's go opening day!
  11. Don't have a picture, but I also pulled up a whole rod and reel. It looked as if it had been there for a LONG time.
  12. HELL of a game between SFA and Notre Dame just now. SFA should have pulled off the upset.
  13. Looks like a spot. Definitely not a smallmouth.
  14. That is more like it lol
  15. I use Berkley Big Game for two things: 1. for big game lol, such as pike or carp because its very strong and manageable compared to other lines of the same diameter. 2. backing for bait casters, as its cheap I use Yo-Zuri 25 lb fluorocarbon leader material and love it, but haven't tried Yo-Zuri hybrid.
  16. Only 8 pounds?! d**n, I would believe it of ya told me it was 20! That thing is huge!
  17. Double uni for connecting line to line other than braid. Seaguar knot for connecting braid to non-braided line. Clinch knot for line to lure. Palomar knot for braid to lure. Practice, practice, practice!!
  18. Anything you would use to catch bass should get bit by pike. A larger profile doesn't hurt either. The last few years I've caught most of my pike on T-rigged 10" ribbon tail worms while bass fishing.
  19. Lew's for bait casting. Pflueger for spinning.
  20. Got this one on a drop-shot in about 30 feet of water. Went 4.25 lbs.
  21. Topwater can be really effective for pre-spawn fish when water is in the mid-50s. I've caught quite a few fish in less than a foot of water during pre-spawn with poppers.
  22. They smell like a wild animal more than a fish. A very pungent odor that the slime leaves. Very slimy fish.
