They really are great. No reason to ever buy a jig anywhere else. Seeing the big name brand jigs in stores, then comparing them to Siebert jigs, I will choose Siebert every time. Every color and head type and weight you could want.

Just started using Rage Tail this year. Ive been killing em on the Craw and Baby Craw. I fish them Texas-rigged with a 1/8-1/4oz tungsten bullet and red glass bead. I also use them as jig trailer. For small jigs I bite a Baby Craw in half. I now always have a Craw or Baby Craw rigged up and find myself going to that rod first and most often.

The Hula popper doesn't splash, just pops or blurps. But I have found that I can make any popper spit or pop just based on how high I keep my rod tip. Lower for a pop or chug, and higher for a spit or splash. I personally prefer the spit or splash, so I mainly use Storm Chugbugs. I have tried the Rebel popping frog and it would not sit straight up in the water and did not splash or pop. Total fail. I don't know if it was a lemon of a lure or what, but the Rebel Pop-R is a good popper, especially for popping or chugging.

Small in-line spinners will catch just about anything that swims.

Very tough to watch. Especially considering the Braves don't have much offense when they don't hit home runs. So when they can score 6 by singles and doubles and still lose, it stings.

Fished in the ADKs over the weekend. Weather was miserable. Thunderstorms and torrential rain all weekend. We still managed to find some fish though. In 10-12 hours of fishing we boated around 25 keeper-sized bass, the biggest being around 3 pounds. Lost a few that looked bigger. Not bad at all considering the horrible weather.

Problem solved.

Yeah the d**n Braves were up 6-1 too! Erv just couldn't get that last out in the 5th. I'm going to Fenway on Wednesday to see them play again. They are doing 2 in ATL then they go to Boston and play 2. Interesting series, but I get to see the Braves so I'm happy. Its looking like Floyd vs. Lackey.

You can get buy frog trailer hooks. They're single hooks with 2 eyelets that slide over the main hooks.

Siebert Outdoors makes perfect ones. I use the Zenith Shake Head. Its a stand-up football head with no weed guard and works perfectly. I actually need to order a bunch more.

Pickerel are fun! I don't mind catching picks when I'm bass fishing. I heard they taste good too but not worth the hassle to me to clean around the bones.

Rage craws and chunks, and when I want to go small I bite a baby rage craw in half and use that as a trailer.

I would go, then once I got there I would mark the location on my phones GPS.

Yup, the bite is definitely on. I just wish I got to make it out Monday and Tuesday. Had a pretty good night tonight, and I will not be missing another day this week!

That fishing hole would be Otsego Lake...Never fished it but I've heard good things about it.

Anyone ever been to the HOF? I live only about an hour away. I've been twice. If you are a fan of baseball then you have to go. In not kidding, the whole town of Cooperstown is baseball themed. From the restaurants and bars to the street signs. It's awesome.

Exactly. Recognition as a state record holder would literally mean nothing to me. I would measure it, weight it, take a bunch of pictures and release it. And I would only share my story with a select few.
