  1. I put EVERYTHING on the back burner for fishing. The front burners are indefinitely reserved for fishing.
  2. As far as the color, I know braid will dull after use but it won't affect strength. It's the line getting "broken in" sort of. But the fraying, not a clue....
  3. I think Coca-Cola is 100% absolutely perfect the way it is!
  4. I have always wanted a perch colored senko/stick bait. Green on top, orange on bottom, and 3-4 black vertical bars. Why? Because perch are a primary forage species around here and I've always had luck on perch colored lures.
  5. It could be suspended crappie or bluegill. Maybe bait a hook with a night crawler or small minnow and drop it down just to see. If they're crappie or bluegill they won't pass up a worm or minnow.
  6. Night fishing is when I exclusively target big bass.
  7. It's always great rigging a senko wacky style around someone who has never seen it. They look at you like "...is this guy serious?" The results speak for themselves though!
  8. Black jointed jitterbug. Black brush hogs, lizards and senkos.
  9. Berkley makes a hi-vis blue monofilament. I used it once accidentally, and it's very hi-vis and very blue.
  10. Not defending this guy or his comments, because they were insanely ignorant, misguided and hateful. But as far as these players who are offended by this, are you so offended that you're willing to give up that million dollar paycheck and make a stand? I'm thinking no...The real loser, in just about everyone's eyes is Sterling. As it should be. Not the guys who make millions a year to play basketball and will continue to do so, whether Sterling continues owning the Clippers or not.
  11. Nice, and you caught some fish on the maiden voyage too. Awesome
  12. The one on left is a Rapala DT. Looks like the DT-6. Not sure about the other 2.
  13. I love fishing clear water. Green pumpkin and watermelon soft plastics all day.
  14. Love those baby brush hogs!
  15. I would go with the 2500. All my spinning reels are 2500s, perfect size IMO.
  16. I have a feeling more rods are broken by loading/unloading them into a car/truck, than they are fighting a fish or snag.
  17. Hootie, you should google it.
  18. This is the way I look at it. I catch a lot of fish on Zoom Brush Hogs. I don't know of any creature alive that looks like a brush hog, but the bass eat them anyway. I think if it looks alive, it will catch bass.
  19. Any more luck upstate anyone? I haven't been out in a few days. Weather hasn't exactly been ideal. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow for a couple. At least test out some new gear.
  20. Just un-boxed my Tournament Pro. Havent used it yet, but I will be this week. Ive read good things about it.
  21. I use a 6' leader in clear water. I just trim the knot close, never had an issue.
  22. Here in the north country I don't even get my topwater stuff out until June...
  23. I use a tiny piece of nightcrawler on a long shank hook. They tend to swallow it a lot.
  24. The Rage Tail anaconda and recon are big.
